| Purpose: The immunohistochemical technique was used to detect the staining of immunoglobulin free light chains in the intestinal mucosa of children with inflammatory bowel disease, and to initially explore the relationship between FLC and IBD.Method: Intestinal mucosal wax samples of 45 children with IBD diagnosed in our hospital from September 2013 to November 2020 were collected and divided into two groups: active group and remission group.17 cases were successfully matched after treatment.Immunohistochemical staining technique was used to detect the expression of FLCκ in intestinal mucosa, the expression of FLCκ in active stage and remission stage was compared by immunohistochemical(IHC)score. Results: 1 The expression of FLCκ in intestinal mucosa.FLCκ was positively expressed in intestinal mucosa of 42 patients with newly diagnosed and 3 recurrent active IBD,and the IHC score in the active IBD group was significantly higher than that in the remission group, and the IHC score of 17 children with active IBD achieved remission after induction treatment, and the IHC score before and after treatment was significantly higher than that before treatment(P < 0.05).2 Comparison of blood CRP,blood PMN,activity score and endoscopic score between active group and remission group. In IBD active group,CRP28.35(4.70,53.45),PMN6.97(5.33,10.14),activity score34.50(27.43,13.00),endoscopy score8.40(5.20,15.00)were higher than those in remission stage CRP0.69(0.50,5.30),PMN2.86(2.63,4.82),activity score5.00(0.00,5.00),and endoscope score 0.00,(0.00-1.60),the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).3 The correlation between FLCκ immunohistochemical score and activity score,CRP,PMN and endoscopic score in children with active IBD.The linear correlation analysis was carried out between the FLCκ immunohistochemical score and the activity score of the active group, the results showed that the FLCκ immunohistochemical score of the active IBD children was positively correlated with the activity(r=0.365 P < 0.05);Spearman rank correlation or linear correlation analysis showed that the FLCκ immunohistochemical score of the active IBD children had no correlation with the blood CRP,PMN and endoscopic scores(P > 0.05).Conclusion:Immunoglobulin free light chain(FLCκ)was positive in intestinal mucosa of children with IBD.The expression intensity of FLCκ in active stage(initial or recurrent)was significantly higher than that in remission stage, and positively correlated with IBD activity. It is of great value in monitoring and evaluating the curative effect of IBD,and is expected to become a new biomarker of IBD. |
