| Object: In the past clinical practice, colon cancer is usually divided into left colon cancer and right colon cancer according to site to explore the correlation. This paper aims to divide the tumor into three groups, namely right colon cancer, rectal cancer and left colon cancer,to clarify the effect of tumor location on the prognosis of patients with stage III colon cancer. Methods: Tumor survival and overall survival time for observation indexes, the object of study for between January 2012 and December 2015,the Chinese medical university affiliated shengjing hospital oncology treatment and follow-up of 157 DI period colorectal malignant tumor patients, all patients with pathological diagnosis of colorectal malignant tumor and postoperative pathology and the imaging was identified as O period,by interrupting the patient’s medical records and follow-up statistics of patients age, gender, pathological type, the primary site, postoperative staging, treatment and so on,by telephone, outpatient service methods such as master tumor patients survival time and total time to live.Data were collected and analyzed, and the patients were divided into three groups according to the location of the primary tumor right colon cancer, rectal cancer and left colon cancer.Statistical analysis was performed on the three groups of patients.Kaplan-Meier method was used to plot the survival curve of 157 patients with colorectal cancer using SPSS 26.0software,and Cox multivariate regression analysis was used to discuss the factors of survival prognosis. Results: There were 157 cases of colorectal cancer,35 cases of right colon cancer(22.3%),75 cases of rectal cancer(47.8%),47 cases of left colon cancer(29.9%).The mean 5-year tumor-free survival time was 44.9 months for right colon cancer,39.6 months for rectal cancer, and 45.3 months for left colon cancer,P=0.046,and the difference was statistically significant. The mean 5-year overall survival time was 49.0 months for right colon,50.0months for colorectal cancer and 52.7 months for left colon cancer(P=0.174),and the difference was not statistically significant. The 5-year survival time after recurrence was 40.0months for right colon cancer(5E: 2.83,95%CI: 34.5-45.5),44.0 months for colorectal cancer(SE: 5.80,95%CI: 34.6-57.3),and 46.0 months for left colon cancer(SE: 2.37,95%CI:35.0-53.0),with statistically significant differences(P=0.048).Conclusion: The 5-year tumor-free survival time and the total survival time after recurrence are different in stage III colorectal cancer patients according to the different site of primary tumor. The tumor-free survival time of colorectal cancer patients was shorter than that of right and left colorectal cancer patients, and the tumor-free survival time of right and left colorectal cancer patients was similar. In patients with recurrence, the overall survival time of patients with right colon cancer was less than that of patients with colorectal cancer and left colon cancer. |
