Objective:To investigate the status quo of stigma,medication compliance and quality of life in adult patients with epilepsy,analyze the correlation between stigma,medication compliance,and quality of life in patients with epilepsy,analyze the influencing factors of stigma in patients with epilepsy,and explore the influencing factors of stigma in epilepsy patients,for clinical epilepsy patients implement active and effective nursing intervention measures to provide a basis to improve the overall quality of life of patients with epilepsy.Methods:In this study,a cross-sectional survey was used to select 163 adult epilepsy patients(77 males and 86 females,aged 18~65 years old)from the neurology wards and epilepsy clinics of 2 tertiary A hospitals in Liaoning Province through convenience sampling,using the general information questionnaire,the Kilifi epilepsy patient stigma scale,the Morisky Medication Compliance Scale-8(MMAS)and the epilepsy quality of life scale(QOLIE-31)to investigate the general information and illness of the patients.shame level,medication compliance and quality of life.Data entry uses Excel software,and analysis uses SPSS22.0 statistical software,including descriptive statistics,t-test,analysis of variance,correlation analysis,regression analysis and other methods.Results:The stigma score of adult patients with epilepsy was(10.89±6.67)points;the patient’s total QOL score was(56.38±6.97)points;the patient’s MMAS-8 score was(5.82±2.11)points;the patient’s total stigma score and medication The compliance score was negatively correlated(r=-0.65,P<0.01),and was negatively correlated with the quality of life score(r=-0.31,P<0.01);the results of univariate analysis showed that different gender,age,education level,marriage status and family monthly income per capita are the influencing factors of adult epilepsy patients’ stigma,(P<0.05).Multiple stepwise regression analysis showed that marital status,education level-high school,bachelor degree and above,family monthly income,gender,age,medication compliance entered the regression equation,which together explained 61.4% of the total stigma score variation.Conclusion: Adult patients with epilepsy have a moderate level of stigma,medication compliance,and quality of life.There are many influencing factors of stigma in adult patients with epilepsy,and intervention measures should be taken to address the main problems and influencing factors.The stigma of adult patients with epilepsy is negatively correlated with the quality of life and medication compliance,suggesting that the stigma of patients with epilepsy should be paid attention to by clinical medical staff,and targeted guidance should be given to help patients with epilepsy to effectively cope with and improve epilepsy Patient medication compliance and quality of life. |
