We can’t live without light.When we explore the influence caused by light or define the biological safety of light,we can’t avoid the research on the damage effect of light.The damage caused by different wavelengths of light is different,which may be beneficial or harmful,among which the "blue light hazard" is the most concerned.As the name suggests,"blue light hazard" is the harm brought by blue light.Blue light carries ultra-high energy,which can pass through the lens barrier to the fundus of the eye.The high energy will cause atrophy or even death of retinal pigment epithelial cells,and the damage of photoreceptor cells will lead to the decline of visual quality,which is irreversible.In addition to light damage,exposure to blue light can induce macular lesions and cataracts,affect the mental state,and normal sleep cycle.For a long time,the harm of blue light is a topic of social concern.Due to the limitation of light-emitting technology,the peak value of LED light source on the market is in the blue light rich region,which is very close to the peak value of the blue light damage spectrum(435 ~445nm),which means that there may be blue light harm in an LED light source.Although compared with traditional lighting products,LED light source has many advantages,but its safe use range is not very clear.For the biological safety of light sources,the damaging effect of light sources depends on four parameters: color,light intensity,single or daily illumination time,and cumulative illumination time.For color parameters,we select red,green,blue,and composite white light as experimental light sources according to the different absorption peaks of three kinds of photoreceptor cells on the rhesus monkey retina,and systematically change the light intensity,daily illumination time,and cumulative illumination time to study the biological safety of LED light source.Finally,it is found that the light of LED has no effect on the red energy of rhesus monkey retina or ignored under normal light intensity,which indicates that led is safe under normal illumination intensity.Therefore,we believe that the use of LED light sources in the daily life lighting range is not harmful.After solving the security of LED light sources in daily life,we also measured the natural light environment spectrum and evaluated the comfort of the different light environments through a subjective comfort questionnaire survey.Combined with the light environment spectrum parameters and comfort evaluation index,we selected the optimal comfort spectral curve and optimized and integrated it,to lay the foundation for future spectral research.
