| With the development of information technology,a lot of visual display terminal(VDT)devices,including smart phones and tablet computers,are used more and more widely in daily life,and gradually there is a growing attention on visual fatigue caused by long-term VDT operations.At present,the researches on VDT visual fatigue mainly focus on large-size display,and there is a lack of research on visual discomfort caused by mobile phone display.To this end,this paper studied the effects of external factors such as mobile phone display characteristics,on visual fatigue related physiological signals during the visual task.In this study,with the effects of ambient illumination,display brightness,blue light and polarization characteristics,we evaluated the visual fatigue status before and after visual task by the multi-parameter detection methods such as critical flicker fusion frequency,resting state EEG,steady-state visual evoked potential,and visual evoked cortical potential.The experimental results showed that ambient illumination has significant effects on resting state EEG signals,steady-state visual evoked potential signals,visual evoked cortical potential signals,and 300 lx ambient illumination has less effect on resting state EEG,steady-state visual evoked potential and visual evoked cortical potential compared with 0 lx and 1600 lx ambient illumination.In addition,we also found that the displays with low blue light has less influence on resting state EEG signals and visual evoked cortical potential signals than the display with normal blue light.In the results of this study,there was no significant effect of display brightness characteristics and polarization characteristics(circular polarization and linear polarization)on subjective questionnaire scores,resting state EEG,steady-state visual evoked potential,and visual evoked cortical potential.In summary,this paper explored the feasibility of various indicators in detecting visual fatigue and preliminarily studied the effects of mobile phone display characteristics on visual fatigue related physiological signals,and the results of this paper provided references for the study about the effects of small size screen with different display characteristics on visual health. |
