Clinical Observation On The Treatment Of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome By Hui-acupuncture

Objective:Observe the clinical efficacy of hui-acupuncture in the treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome,explore whether this method is better than conventional acupuncture,and provide a new direction for clinical treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome.Methods:On the premise of meeting the criteria of inclusion,60 patients with carpal tunnel syndrome were divided into hui-acupuncture group(30cases)and routine group(30 cases)by referring to the random number table.In this study,the routine group was treated with conventional acupuncture,and the selection of acu-points was based on the acupuncture treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome in the "Thirteenth Five-Year" textbook.The hui-acupuncture group was treated with hui-acupuncture on Waiguan and Hegu,combined with conventional needling methods on Quchi,Yangchi,Yangxi,and Yanggu.There was a total of 4 weeks of treatment,once a day,and a day of rest after 6 consecutive days of treatment.Evaluate whether the program is safe and effective by comparing the Boston Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Questionnaire Score(BCTQ),VAS score,Tinel sign,Phalen test positive ratio,Distal motor latency(DML),sensory conduction velocity(SCV)changes of patients before and after treatment,and recording the clinical efficacy of patients after treatment and the adverse reactions during the treatment.Results:During the treatment,2 people in the hui-acupuncture group and1 person in the routine group fell off.A total of 57 people completed all the tests.Comparing the baseline conditions of patients in the hui-acupuncture group and the routine group,P>0.05,the difference was not statistically significant.After treatment,patients’ BCTQ score,VAS score,positive rate of Tinel sign and Phalen sign,detection values DML and SCV were significantly improved compared with those before treatment,and the hui-acupuncture group was better than the routine group,P<0.05.The difference was statistically significant.After treatment,the total effective rate of the hui-acupuncture group was 89.27%,better than the 79.31% of the routine group,and the therapeutic effect of the hui-acupuncture group was much better than that of the routine group,P<0.05.The difference was statistically significant.During the treatment period,there were no adverse reactions in both groups.Conclusion:The treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome by hui-acupuncture can significantly improve the patient’s symptoms,and compared with traditional acupuncture,the effect is more advantageous;The treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome by hui-acupuncture has great security and is worthy of clinical application.
