| Objective:Study 1 analyzed the correlation between quality of life, family function and tic disorder by comparing the differences in quality of life and family function of subjects in two groups(tic disorder group and control group),and explored the intrinsic connection between quality of life and family function to provide a guiding basis for the specific implementation of psychological intervention.Study 2 observed and compared the differences in the efficacy of psychological intervention combined with Xifeng Ningjing Decoction for TD and Xifeng Ningjing Decoction alone to provide reference for clinical use. Methods:The study population was children diagnosed with TD in the pediatric outpatient department of the First Hospital Affiliated to Heilongjiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and the control children were sourced from nine-year consistent schools(covering primary and junior high schools)in Harbin. In Study 1,Yale Global Tic Severity Scale(YGTSS)and Inventory of Subjective Life Quality(ISLQ)were used to measure 82 TD cases before and after treatment, and the parents filled out the Family Assessment Device(FAD)once before and after treatment;in the control group, the ISLQ was measured and the parents filled out the FAD.In Study 2,the children with TD were divided into two groups, and the test group was treated with psychological interventions combined with Xifeng Ningjing Decoction, while the control group was treated with Xifeng Ningjing Decoction, and observed for 12 weeks. The severity of the disease was assessed by the YGTSS score and the modified Chinese medicine symptom and sign grading scale, and the efficacy was evaluated by the rate of reduction of the scale score before and after treatment, with emphasis on the difference of efficacy between the two groups in different age groups and different degrees of severity. The samples were included strictly according to the enrollment criteria, and the YGTSS and the quantitative scale of TCM symptoms and signs were evaluated by professional physicians, and timely return visits were made to understand and record the changes in the condition of the enrolled children, emphasizing medical advice.Result:Study 1: Analysis of the correlation between tic disorders, quality of life, and family functioning.1.Quality of life: Children in the TD group scored lower than the control group in the ISLQ scores for family life, living environment, school life, depression experience, anxiety experience, somatic emotion, and cognitive components, with significant differences,P<0.05;although they also scored lower than the control group in peer interaction,self-awareness,emotional components, and overall satisfaction, there were no significant differences,P>0.05.2.Family functioning: problem solving, communication, emotional response, behavioral control, and total functioning in the FAD scores of the TD group were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were all statistically significant,P<0.05,and there were no significant differences in roles and emotional involvement, although they were also higher than those of the control group,P>0.05.3.Patients’ quality of life was significantly correlated with family functioning, especially the emotional involvement dimension of family functioning was significantly correlated with the family life and peer interaction dimension of quality of life, the behavioral control dimension of family functioning was significantly correlated with the self-perception dimension of quality of life, and the total functioning dimension of family functioning was significantly correlated with the depressive experience dimension of quality of life,P<0.05.Study 2: The efficacy of psychological intervention combined with Xifeng Ningjing Decoction in the treatment of tic disorder.1.comparison of YGTSS scores: there was no statistical difference between the test group and the control group in total scores, motor scores and vocal scores before treatment,P>0.05.There was no significant difference between groups in all scores before and after treatment,P>0.05.All scores were significantly lower before and after treatment in both groups, with statistical difference,P<0.05.2.Comparison of the total efficacy of YGTSS scores after treatment: the total effective rate of YGTSS scores in the two groups was 87.80% and 72.50%,respectively.Although the total effective rate of the test group was slightly higher than that of the control group, the difference was not statistically significant,P>0.05.3.Comparison of TCM syndrome scores: There was no significant difference in the TCM syndrome scores between the two groups before and after treatment,P>0.05.Within the two groups before and after treatment, the syndrome scores decreased significantly,P<0.05.Conclusion:1.The quality of life of TD patients is lower than that of normal children, and TD affects the quality of life of affected children.2.TD patients have poorer family functioning, and TD is associated with poor family functioning.3.The quality of life of TD patients is related to family function.4.Psychological intervention combined with Quenching Wind Tranquility Soup can improve TD twitching symptoms and TCM evidence. |
