Objective: To investigate the clinical features and prognostic factors of cerebral venous sinus thrombosis(CVST).Methods: Retrospectively analyze the medical records of 71 CVST patients with an available electronic imaging data, from January 2012 to November 2020,admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University. And statistically summarize their clinical symptoms, laboratory findings, risk factors, treatment, and prognosis. Results : A total of 71 patients were included in this study with a median age of 39 years, including 45 male patients and 26 female patients, and the sex ratio was different from previous beliefs.Headache, vomiting, and seizures are the most common clinical symptoms, and most patients have increased CSF pressure and D-dimer values.Confirmation needs to rely on cranial imaging.Possible risk factors for the disease mainly include hematological diseases, autoimmune diseases, hyperhomocysteinemia, trauma and surgery.Female patients were more likely to have a combination of hematological diseases, whereas male patients were more likely to have hyperhomocysteinemia. All patients were evaluated by the modified Rankin score(m RS),and the majority had a favorable outcome.Multivariate regression analysis showed that frontal lobe injury and consciousness disturbance were independent risk factors for poor prognosis.Anticoagulant therapy, anticoagulant plus antiplatelet therapy can obtain certain curative effect. Conclusion:CVST patients in Chongqing area were mainly young and middle-aged male, and the clinical characteristics of male and female patients are different to some extent. The clinical manifestations of this disease are not typical, and it is quite difficult to diagnose.Imaging examination is the most important auxiliary means of examination.Consciousness disturbance and frontal lobe injury are the risk factors for poor outcome. Most patients achieved good recovery after treatment. |
