Clinical Observation Of Chufeng Yisun Decoction Combined With Deproteinized Calf Blood Extract Eye Gel On The Recovery Of Corneal Chemical Injury

Objective:To evaluate the therapeutic effect of Chufeng Yishen Decoction combined with Xiaoniu Xue ointment on corneal chemical burns,analyze the feasibility,effectiveness and safety of the plan,and open up new ideas for the clinical treatment of ocular chemical burns.Methods:Retrospective analysis from August 2012 to October 2020 in the Department of Ophthalmology,Affiliated Hospital of Jiangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine,was accidentally caught by chemicals such as acid and alkaline preparations,and was only rinsed with water before coming to the hospital or not treated,and used in accordance with the diagnosis.Clinical data of 41 patients(63 eyes)treated with Chufengyixin Decoction combined with traditional Chinese and Western medicine.Among them,there were 19 monocular eyes,22 binocular eyes,34 males with 50 eyes,and 7females with 13 eyes.Post-injury consultation time: 35 eyes in 20 cases within 1 hour,17 eyes in 12 cases within 1 hour to 1 day,and11 eyes in 9 cases over 1 day.Thirty-six patients were workers working in nearby chemical factories,and their ocular surface burns were directly related to work,accounting for 88% of all cases.Five patients were accidentally entering the eyes of chemicals in daily life,accounting for 12%.All patients evaluated the curative effect after completing a course of traditional Chinese medicine treatment and corneal repair,and observed the recovery period and the presence or absence of complications(such as corneal degeneration,eyeball adhesions,decreased vision,etc.).Results: 41 patients(63 eyes)received an average of 3 weeks of Chinese medicine treatment.All patients were followed up after discharge.The median follow-up time was 3(1-5)months.12 patients with first degree ocular burns were markedly effective,accounting for 100%;18 patients with second-degree burns were markedly effective,accounting for 94.7%,and 1 case was effective;6 patients with third-degree burns were markedly effective,accounting for 75%,and 2 cases were effective;patients with fourth-degree burns were markedly effective 0 cases were effective and 2 cases were invalid.The total apparent efficiency reached 87.8%,and the total effective efficiency reached 95.1%.After receiving the treatment,the patients’ eye irritation symptoms were alleviated to varying degrees,and the signs of conjunctival hyperemia and corneal injury were significantly improved.The average corneal repair cycle was 1.9weeks.After treatment,there was no case of complicated severe infection or endophthalmitis,and he recovered in 3-59 days,and the eyeballs were preserved.There were 8 cases of corneal degeneration(100%)in the third degree ocular burn patients,including 5 cases of corneal leukoplakia,3 cases of corneal pannus,2 cases of eyeball adhesions(25%),2 cases of trichiasis(25%),and 7 cases of bluishness.Among the 2 cases(87.5%)with corneal repair time> 5W,4cases(50%);of the 2 cases with Ⅳ degree ocular burn,2 cases of corneal leukoplakia were 100%,and 2 cases of severe visual damage were 100%,not blue or white 2 100% of cases,50% of trichiasis in 1case,100% of palpebral adhesions in 2 cases,and 2 cases(100%)with corneal repair time> 5W.The total incidence of complications of different degrees in patients with eye burns of Ⅲ degree or above can reach 100%.Conclusion: 1.Chemical eye burns are mainly young and middleaged men,and burns are mostly related to accidents at work;2.With timely and effective emergency treatment for eye chemical injuries,the healing will be better and there will be fewer complications;3.It is an effective method for non-surgical treatment of ocular chemical burns of degree Ⅰ and Ⅱ;4.The more severe the burn,the longer the corneal repair time,the worse the vision recovery after treatment,and the more likely to produce complications;5.The data show that the combination of Chinese and Western medicine treatment using Chufengyixin Decoction combined with calf blood deproteinized extract ophthalmic gel can effectively shorten the course of the disease,relieve symptoms,improve the visual function of patients,and reduce the occurrence of complications to a certain extent.
