| Objective:To explore the distribution law of TCM syndrome and constitution of patients with colorectal polyps,as well as the relationship between the disease and lifestyle,in order to provide a reference for preventing the occurrence of colorectal polyps and formulating a reasonable lifestyle. Methods:TCM syndrome questionnaire,TCM constitution questionnaire and lifestyle questionnaire were developed by consulting relevant literature and expert opinions.According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria,70 patients with colorectal polyps(colorectal polyp group)and 50 patients with non-colorectal polyps(control group)were selected.TCM syndrome questionnaire and TCM constitution questionnaire were used to investigate the TCM syndrome and constitution of patients in colorectal polyp group, and lifestyle questionnaire was used to investigate the lifestyle of the two groups. The database was established by Microsoft Excel 2019,and the data were analyzed by SPSS 23.0 software,Graph Pad Prism 8.0 software was used to draw the graph.Results:1.There were 39 males and 31 females in the colorectal polyp group, the male-to-female ratio was 1.26:1,while in the control group, there were 26 males and 24 females, the male-to-female ratio was1.08:1.The average age of patients in the colorectal polyp group was 56.39 ±13.01 years old, while that in the control group was 50.16 ±12.03 years old.2.Among the 70 patients with colorectal polyps, there were 55 cases of primary colorectal polyps,15 cases of recurrent colorectal polyps,19 cases of single colorectal polyps and 51 cases of multiple colorectal polyps. The most common site of the disease was sigmoid colon(32.56%).The most common pathological type was tubular adenoma polyps(62.3%).3.The study of Syndromes found that the distribution of syndromes of colorectal polyps were: spleen insufficiency and wet syndrome(52.86%)> intestinal dampness and hot muggy syndrome(21.43%)> Qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome(17.14%)> Yang Deficiency syndrome(8.57%).The distribution of TCM syndrome types of colorectal polyps was different in different genders and ages.Women were more likely to get qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome than men(P<0.05),young and middle-aged people were more likely to get intestinal damp-heat syndrome(P<0.05),and elderly people were more likely to suffer from yang deficiency and cold coagulation syndrome(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the distribution of syndrome types among different BMI groups(P>0.05).4.The study of constitution found that the distribution of constitutions of colorectal polyps were: Yang deficiency constitution(27.14%)> phlegm dampness constitution(24.29%)> Qi deficiency constitution(17.14%)> damp-heat constitution(15.71%)> Qi depression constitution(8.57%)> Yin deficiency constitution(2.86%)=blood stasis constitution(2.86%).There was no significant difference in TCM constitution types distribution of colorectal polyps among different sex,age and BMI groups(P>0.05).5.The results of correlation analysis showed that the incidence of colorectal polyps was correlated with age, smoking, drinking, eating habits, exercise and staying up late(P < 0.05).There was no significant correlation between the incidence of colorectal polyps and sex,BMI types and blood lipid level(P > 0.05).6.Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that smoking(OR:5.1,95%CI:1.049~24.779),staying up late and age(OR:1.15,95%CI:1.073~1.233)is the risk factor of colorectal polyps.Regular eating vegetables(OR:0.185,95%CI:0.039~0.877),Regular eating fruits(OR:0.088,95%CI:0.015~0.53),eating regular(OR:0.05,95%CI:0.006~0.427),exercising 3-5 days(OR:0.035,95%CI:0.005~0.256)and 5-7 days(OR:0.009,95%CI:0.001~0.124)per week can reduce the risk of colorectal polyps.Conclusion:1.The proportion of colorectal polyps between males and females was1.26:1.Most of the patients were middle-aged and elderly(> 45 years old).2.The incidence of colorectal polyps is mainly primary, the number of polyps is mostly multiple polyps, the specific site of polyps is sigmoid colon, and the pathological type is tubular adenoma.3.The TCM syndrome type of colorectal polyps is mainly spleen deficiency and dampness stagnation syndrome.the occurrence of large intestine polyps is closely related to the abnormal movement of spleen deficiency and water dampness.the disease is based on spleen deficiency, with dampness, heat, cold, and blood stasis as the standard, and qi stagnation is the intermediate link.4.The constitution of colorectal polyps in traditional Chinese medicine is Yang deficiency constitution, phlegm dampness constitution,Qi deficiency constitution, and damp-heat constitution.5.There may be no significant correlation between sex,BMI type, and blood lipid level, and the pathogenesis of colorectal polyps.6.There is a certain relationship between the occurrence of colorectal polyps and the lifestyle of patients: the bad lifestyle of smoking and staying up late is more likely to develop colorectal polyps.Eating vegetables regularly, eating fruits regularly, eating regularly, and exercising more than three days a week may reduce the risk of colorectal polyps. |
