Objective:To explore a new way of non-drug therapy for slow transit constipation, this study used acupuncture combined with gastrointestinal pacing to treat slow transit constipation of lung and spleen qi deficiency, and observed the efficacy and advantages of acupuncture combined with gastrointestinal pacing for STC.Methods:Sixty patients with slow transit constipation who met the inclusion criteria of this study were selected from the Pelvic Floor Diagnosis and Treatment Center of Anorectal Department of Anhui Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from December 2019 to December 2020,they were stochastically classified into comprehensive treatment group 30 cases and acupuncture group 30 cases. The acupuncture group received acupuncture therapy, and the comprehensive treatment group received acupuncture combined with gastrointestinal pacing for 4 weeks. After treatment, the score of constipation symptom,PAC-QOL score,CTT 72 h marker output, serum MTL,serum SS index changes and the difference of effective rate were compared, and the efficacy and advantages of the two treatment regiments were analyzed.Results:(1)The scores of constipation symptoms and the total evaluation within the group were visibly different before and after treatment(P<0.01);Compared with the acupuncture group, the score of constipation symptoms in the comprehensive treatment group were clearly improved(P<0.05).(2)There were evident differences in the PAC-QOL scores and total scores before and after treatment(P<0.01);The improvement of PAC-QOL sc-ores and total scores in the comprehensive treatment group was superior to that in the acupuncture group(P<0.05).(3)There were visible differences in the CTT 72 h marker excretion array before and after treatment(P<0.01);The comprehensive treatment group was superior to the acupuncture group(P<0.01).(4)There were significant differences in the levels of MTL within the group before and after treatment(P<0.01);Compared with other groups, the increase of MTL was more visible in the combined treatment group(P<0.01).(5)There was a significant difference in the level of SS before and after treatment(P<0.01);The decrease of SS was more visible in the combined treatment group(P<0.01).(6)The total effective rate was 93.33% and80.00% respectively between the comprehensive treatment group and the acupuncture group, which showed a visible difference(P<0.05).(7)There were no adverse clinical reactions. Conclusion:The bond of acupuncture therapy and gastrointestinal pacing therapy has a good clinical synergistic effect. The clinical effect of acupuncture therapy on STC with lung and spleen qi deficiency is definite, secure and credible, and can availably anesis the clinical symptoms of constipation, quality of life and gastrointestinal transport feature of patients. The curative effect is superior to acupuncture individual. The treatment scheme in this study could regulate the levels of serum MTL and SS in the body.
