Study On The Emotional State Of Patients With Hashimoto’s Hypothyroidism And The Effect Of Intervention With Guiqixiaoyao Mixture In Patients With Thyroiditis

Objective:In this study,we investigated the negative emotion of patients with Hashimoto’s hypothyroidism through clinical investigation and objective index.To observe the effect of Guiqi Xiaoyao mixture on Tsh,FT3,FT4,TGAb,TPOAb and SAS,SDS scores of patients with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis hypothyroidism accompanied by negative emotion,and to evaluate its clinical efficacy and safety.Methods:1.A mood survey was conducted among 188 patients with Hashimoto’s hypothyroidism who attended the cadre’s endocrine clinic in Anhui Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese medicine from June 2019 to December 2020,the correlation of thyroid function with anxiety,depression and other negative emotions was analyzed.2.According to the principle of random number table,60 patients with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis hypothyroidism and negative emotion were selected as the study subjects and divided into the control group and the treatment group with 30 cases each.The Control Group was given L-T4 orally,the treatment group was given Guiqixiaoyao mixture on the basis of the control group,the treatment for 4 weeks was a course,two groups were observed for 3 courses.The changes of SDS,SAS scores,TCM symptom scores,TSH,FT4,FT3,TGAb and TPOAb were observed before and after treatment,to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Guiqi Xiaoyao mixture.Results:1.Of the 188 patients,73%had negative emotion and 27%had normal emotion,among which 138 patients had anxiety,124 patients had depression,101 patients had both anxiety and depression,and 50 patients had no negative emotion.2.The correlation between thyroid function and anxiety,depression and other negative emotions:TSH was positively correlated with SAS and SDS scores（P<0.05）;FT₄was negatively correlated with SAS and SDS scores（P<0.05）;FT₃had no significant correlation with the scores of SAS and SDS（P<0.05）.3.TPOAB and TGAB had no significant correlation with SAS and SDS scores（P<0.05）.4.Thyroid function:Compared with before treatment,TSH decreased and FT₄increased in both groups（P<0.01）;the results showed that the level of Tsh and FT₄improved significantly in the treatment group（P<0.05）;There was no significant difference in FT₃before and after treatment（P>0.05）.5.TPOAb、TGAb:The levels of TGAB and TPOAB in both groups were lower than before treatment（P<0.01 or P<0.01）;the decrease was more obvious in the treatment group（P<0.05）.6.SAS and SDS scores:compared with before treatment,the scores of SAS and SDS in the two groups were lower（P<0.01）,and the scores of SAS and SDS in the treatment group were lower（P<0.01）.7.TCM Symptom scores:compared with before treatment,TCM symptom scores of both groups were decreased（P<0.01）,and those of the treatment group were significantly decreased（P<0.01）.8.Clinical effect:The total effective rate was 90.00%in the treatment group and 76.67%in the control group;the curative effect is more obvious in the treatment group.9.Adverse reactions:During the study period,the safety index of patients were within the normal range,no adverse reactions were observed.Conclusion:Hashimoto’s hypothyroidism was associated with anxiety and depression;Gui Qi Xiao Yao mixture can reduce the scores of SAS and SDS and improve the clinical symptoms;It can also reduce thyroid function and TGAB,TPOAB levels.It is a safe and effective method.
