Objective:To investigate the current situation of the combined medical and nursing needs of the elderly in the community of Taiyuan City,and analyze the impact of common chronic diseases and GS on their needs.Methods:Using stratified cluster random sampling,with the assistance of Taiyuan City Health Bureau,we selected 540 senior citizens who met the standards,and conducted a face-to-face questionnaire survey using a self-made CGA manual for the elderly.Chi-square test and Logistic regression model were used to analyze the factors influencing the demand rate of the elderly in Taiyuan community.Results:Of the 513 valid data,459(89.5%)had at least one chronic disease and 254(49.5%)had two or more chronic diseases.The prevalence rates of seven common chronic diseases from high to low were hypertension,diabetes,coronary heart disease,cerebral infarction,obesity,dyslipidemia,osteoporosis,and the prevalence rates of ten common senile syndromes from high to low were decreased vision,hearing loss,cognitive decline,falls,insomnia,depression,incontinence,anxiety,weakness,malnutrition.274(53.4%)of the elderly know or know something about the combination of medical care and old-age care,and 281(54.8%)of the elderly have the need of medical care and old-age care and old-age care services.The results of single factor analysis show:different age,education level,economic level,cognitive level of medical care and nursing,whether the number of chronic diseases is ≥2,the ability of daily living,frailty,insomnia,depression,and elderly people with different main caregivers The demand for integrated medical and elderly care services is different(P both<0.05);the results of multi-factor analysis show: age,education level,economic level,cognitive level of integrated medical and elderly care,main caregivers,number of chronic diseases,whether ≥2,daily life Ability and frailty are independent factors affecting the needs of community elderly medical care and elderly care services(P both< 0.05).Conclusions:According to the general data,the elderly aged 60-69,with high school education or above,who know some/understand the combination of medical and nursing services,whose economic level is based on the balance of payments,and whose main caregivers are themselves have higher demand for the combination of medical and nursing services.Among the common chronic diseases and geriatric syndromes,the number of chronic diseases ≥2,ADL decreased(relative to normal ADL),and pre-debilitating(relative to non-debilitating)elderly people have a higher demand for integrated medical care and elderly care services.
