Objective: To observe the effects of different time point of acupuncture combined with Brunnstrom technology on the motor function of patients with acute stroke hemiplegia, and to explore when the combination of acupuncture therapy and modern rehabilitation technology can better promote the recovery of motor function in patients with stroke hemiplegia. Methods: A total of 76 patients with acute stroke hemiplegia who met the criteria for inclusion and discharge were selected and randomly divided into a synchronous group and a non-synchronous group.Synchronous group: The body acupuncture was taken out while the scalp acupuncture was retained after 30 minutes of acupuncture treatment(scalp acupuncture + body acupuncture);the affected side was treated synchronously with Brunnstrom technique for 30 minutes.Asynchronous group: The body needle was taken out after 30 minutes of acupuncture treatment in the morning(scalp acupuncture + body acupuncture),and the scalp needle was kept for 30 minutes before removal. In the afternoon,Brunnstrom technique was treated for 30 minutes. Both groups of patients were treated once a day for 14 days. Before treatment, after 1week of treatment, and at the end of the treatment course, the functional walking grading method, upper limb function test scale, modified Barthel index scale,Fugl-Meyer motor function score scale were used to evaluate the patient’s limb motor function rehabilitation. Then SPSS 18.0 statistical software was used to analyze the obtained data. Results: Comparison of FMA,UEFT,FAC,MBI scores within groups: After the treatment course, the scores in both groups improved(P<0.05),and the mid-term rehabilitation assessment FMA upper limb score and MBI score improved after 1week of treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference in UEFT(I-IV category)scores(P>0.05).Comparison between groups: FMA,UEFT,FAC and MBI scores of the synchronized group were higher than those of the non-synchronized group after the treatment course, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The FMA and MBI scores in the mid-term rehabilitation assessment improved after 1 week of treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),while the difference in UEFT score and FAC score was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion: Acupuncture combined with Brunnstrom technique can promote the recovery of motor function and activities of daily living in patients with acute stroke hemiplegia.Synchronous treatment is better than asynchronous treatment.
