| Objective:Cephalometric analysis is conducted to compare the soft tissue morphological characteristics of adult women with different vertical facial growth pattern in ClassⅡdivision1 and ClassⅡdivision 2 malocclusion. And further analyze the correlation between soft tissue morphology and hard tissue structure,it provides a reference for the clinical diagnosis and treatment design of ClassⅡadult females.Method:Adult female patients in the orthodontics department of Affiliated Stomatological Hospital of Nanchang University from August 2018 to March 2021were collected. The inclusion and exclusion criteria are set for the purposes of the study, and accoeding to FH-MP cephalometric measurements,20 cases of high angle, average angle, and low angle of ClassⅡDivision 1 and ClassⅡdivision 2malocclusion,a total of 120 cases were selected. The soft tissue measurements of two malocclusion were carried out with Dolphin software. The data were processed by SPSS25.0 Software.Compare the soft tissue profile characteristics of different vertical growth pattern in two types of malocclusion,to analyze the difference of soft tissue profile between ClassⅡDivision 1 and ClassⅡdivision 2 malocclusion, and to study the correlation between soft tissue and hard tissue.Results:1.The analysis result of ClassⅡdivision 1 malocclusion:angle of Ns-Sn-Pos,FH-Ns-Pos,Z angle,LL,-B,-Pos,UL-E,LL-E and lower lip thickness have significant differences(P<0.05).The other measurements have no significant differences(P>0.05).2.The analysis result of ClassⅡdivision 2 malocclusion:There was no significant difference in Sn Pos-Mes C and chin thickness(P>0.05).The other measurement items have significant differences(P<0.05).3.The differences of soft tissue profile between ClassⅡdivision 1 and ClassⅡdivision 2 malocclusion:upper lip thickness, lower lip thickness and upper lip concave depth have significant difference in low angle group;UL-E,LL-E and upper lip thickness have significant differences in average angle group(P<0.05);FH-Ns-Pos,Z angle,NLA,A,UL,-B,LL,,A,UL,-FH,B,LL,-FH,Sn Pos-Mes C,LL-E,upper lip length and upper lip concave depth have significant differences in high angle group(P<0.05).4.The results of correlation analysis of soft and hard tissues in ClassⅡdivision 1malocclusion:Ns-Sn-Pos was negatively correlated with ANB and FMA;FH-Ns-Pos was positively correlated with SNA and SNB and negatively correlated with ANB and FMA;Z angle was negatively correlated with ANB,L1-NB and FMA,and positively correlated with U1-L1 and FMIA;A,UL,-FH was positively correlated with U1-L1;LL,-B,-Pos was positively correlated with FMA;and LL-E was positively correlated with FMA.5.The results of correlation analysis of soft and hard tissues in ClassⅡdivision 2malocclusion:Ns-Sn-Pos was negatively correlated with ANB,FMA;FH-Ns-Pos was negatively correlated with ANB,FMA,positively correlated with SNB;Z angle was negatively correlated with ANB,L1-NB and FMA,positively correlated with U1-L1and FMIA;NLA was negatively correlated with IPMA;UL-E and LL-E were positively correlated with ANB and L1-NB,negatively correlated with U1-L1 and FMIA;upper lip thickness was negatively correlated with U1-L1,lower lip thickness was negatively correlated with FMA;The length of the upper and lower lip was positively correlated with FMA;and the depth of the concave of the upper and lower lip was negatively correlated with FMA.Conclusion:1.The vertical facial growth pattern has an effect on the profile protrusion, upper and lower lip protrusion、lower lip thickness and morphology of soft tissue of chin of Class II~1 and angle II~2 malocclusion.2.Compared with ClassⅡ~2malocclusion,ClassⅡ~1 malocclusion has larger profile protrusion and upper and lower lip protrusion, smaller upper and lower lip thickness and upper lip length. The difference was closely related to the vertical facial growth pattern.3.Sagittal facial growth pattern, vertical facial growth pattern and inclination of upper and lower incisors have an effect on profile protrusion and upper and lower lip protrusion. The length, thickness and inclination of upper and lower lip are affected by inclination of upper and lower incisors and vertical facial growth pattern. |
