Objective:By comparing the effect of low-level laser therapy and natural healing on peri-implant soft tissue healing after dental implant,we explore the promoting effect of low-level laser therapy on early healing of peri-implant soft tissue,so as to provide guidance for clinical application. Methods:A total of 32 patients with 46 implant sites were included in this study who received dental implant surgery in the Department of Stomatology, the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University from January 2020 to December 2020.The same surgeon implanted the same implant system at all sites and placed the healing abutment. After surgery, they were randomly divided into two groups:control group and experimental group. The experimental group received low-level laser irradiation(1064nm Nd:YAG,1.5W,15Hz,13.3J/cm~2),while the control group received no additional treatment after surgery.Postoperative pain index, wound healing,peri-implant plaque index(PLI),modified bleeding index(m SBI),gingival index(GI)and buccal keratinized mucosa width(KMW)and early implant success rate were assessed during follow-up(the 1st,2nd,3rd day,2nd week,1st and 3rd month postoperatively). Results:During the observation period, the early success rate of implant in both groups was 100%.The VAS of the experimental group was significantly lower than that of the control group in 3 days after surgery(P<0.05).The wound healing of the experimental group was significantly better than the control group at the 2nd week after the operation(P<0.05).At the 2nd week after operation,PLI,m SBI and GI indexes of the experimental group were significantly lower than the control group(P<0.05).At the 1st month after operation, the m SBI and GI indexes of the experimental group were significantly lower than the control group(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference in PLI index between the two groups(P>0.05).At the 3rd month after operation, there were no significant differences in PLI,m SBI and GI between the two groups(P>0.05).During the follow-up,the reduction of buccal KMW increased first and then gradually leveled off.At the 2nd week and 1st month, the decreasing amount of KMW in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).At the 3rd month, there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).The trend of KMW in the two groups are similar, but the variation of KMW in the control group was larger than that in the experimental group.Conclusion:1.After implantation surgery, there will be some degree of swelling, pain and gingival recession.2.LLLT can promote the healing of peri-implant soft tissue in the early stage after implantation, but the long-term effects need to be further studied.
