| Objectives:The study is to assess the changes in two different digital dental implant designs and provide a reference for the design of soft tissue aesthetics in maxillary anterior teeth. The two different designs are used, one is the traditional digital dental implant design which is guided by the position of the alveolar bone, the other is an aesthetic guided implant design which joins the gingival zenith position into the traditional digital dental implant design.Methods:18patients (30teeth) with dentition defect in the anterior maxilla were collected. According to the positions of the teeth, three groups were divided:central incisor group, lateral incisor group and canine group. The traditional digital dental implant design which is guided by the position of the alveolar bone and the aesthetic guided implant design which joined the gingival zenith position into the traditional digital dental implant design were used to design the position of implant in three dimension. The deviations at the hex of implant center between the two digital designs in the crown-root direction and the labial-palatal direction was measured. SAS9.0software was used to analyze the data. Results:There were no significant differences in the labial-palatal direction (P=0.2037>0.05) and there was a significant difference in the crown-root direction (P<0.05) between the two digital dental implant designs. The deviation of the crown-root direction lateral incisor group was (0.441±0.147)mm, which in central incisor group was (0.179±0.057) mm and canine group was (0.159±0.051)mm. And there was a significant difference between lateral incisor group and the other two groups (P<0.017).Conclusions:It is meaningful to join the gingival zenith position into the digital dental implant design for esthetic restoration of anterior implant. |
