| Objective:This reseaech intends to study the disease uncertainty in patients with lung cancer treated with radiotherapy and chemotherapy and to explore the key factors affecting it.On the basis of previous investigation and consultation with experts, the empowerment health education was developed to explore the impact on patients, and to provide evidence support for clinical doctors and nurses Methods:1 Cross-sectional studyConvenient sampling method was adopted,200 patients with lung cancer who were hospitalized in the Department of Thoracic Oncology(Department of Internal Medicine, surgery, radiotherapy)of Grade 3A Cancer Hospital in XXX Province from May 2020 to August 2020 were selected.Self-made patient data questionnaire and disease uncertainty scale were used to investigate the patients, and the influencing factors were analyzed.2.Intervention studyThe method of literature research was used to determine the content of empowerment education for patients with lung cancer, and the detailed content of empowerment education for patients r was developed after consultation with experts and group discussion.74 patients with lung cancer hospitalized in chest tumor radiotherapy department from September 2020 to January 2021 were selected for intervention. After flipping a coin, one of the wards was randomly divided into the intervention group and the other as the control group. Both groups were treated with traditional health education,on the basis of which the intervention group was given empowering education. Before and 1 week after intervention, the disease uncertainty of patients was measured by MUIS-A scale, and their self-management efficacy was measured by C-SUPPH scale, and the intervention effect was compared.Results:1.The investigation showed that the score of disease uncertainty measured by MUIS-A scale was 96.26 ±8.55.2.The patients’ age, marital status, education level, payment method of medical expenses, per capita monthly income of the family, duration of illness, disease stage, smoking and the number of cancer cell metastasis were the key factors that affect the disease uncertainty of lung cancer patients treated with radiotherapy and chemotherapy.3.The disease uncertainty scores of the control group before and after the intervention were(93.13±8.37)points,(89.37±7.59)points,and the self-management efficacy scores were(69.50±5.49)points,(69.63±5.25)points.There was no significant difference in the control groups(P>0.05).The disease uncertainty scores of the intervention group before and after the intervention were(72.94±4.15)points,(92.06±8.08)points,and the self-management efficacy scores were respectively(70.13±4.99)points and(92.50±5.29)points,both of which were different(P <0.05).Before intervention, there was no significant difference in disease uncertainty and self-management efficacy scores between the control group and the intervention group(P>0.05)..After intervention, the score of disease uncertainty in patients with lung cancer in the intervention group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05);the score of self-management efficacy scale was higher than that in the control group, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:1.For lung cancer patients undergoing radiotherapy and chemotherapy, the uncertainty of the disease is moderate.2.The patients’ age, marital status, education level, payment method of medical expenses, per capita monthly income of the family, duration of illness, disease stage, smoking and the number of cancer cell metastasis are the key factors that affect the disease uncertainty of patients.3.Empowerment education plays a positive role in reducing patients’ disease uncertainty and improving patients’ sense of self-management efficacy. |
