| ObjectiveTo observe the effect of Babao Hemorrhoid Ointment in the treatment of inflammatory external hemorrhoid(Syndrome of Downward Transmission of Dampness and Heat),and to explore its clinical mechanism and application value,in order to provide a simple,effective,non-toxic and side effects drug for the treatment of inflammatory external hemorrhoid induced by dampness and heat,and also to provide evidence and reference for the development of Babao Hemorrhoid Ointment.Methods96 patients with inflammatory external hemorrhoid(Syndrome of Downward Transmission of Dampness and Heat)in the Department of Anus and Proctology,Quanzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine were divided into two groups.The treatment group was treated with Babao Hemorrhoid Ointment,and the control group was treated with Mayinglong Musk Hemorrhoid Ointment for 7 days as a course.The improvement of clinical symptoms and signs(including edema,pain,anal drooping sensation and hemorrhoid skin)in the first,4rth and 7th day of the two groups were compared,and the total efficacy was evaluated respectively,so as to comprehensively evaluate the clinical effect of Babao Hemorrhoid Ointment on the inflammatory external hemorrhoid(Syndrome of Downward Transmission of Dampness and Heat).Results1.Baseline comparison:3 shedding cases in each groups,with a total shedding rate of6.25% in the two groups.Finally,90 cases were included,45 cases in each groups.And the two groups had the same baseline and were comparable.2.Therapeutic results:(1)After continuous use for 7 days(one course),the effective rate of the treatment group was 93.33%,which was better than that of the control group(77.78%),the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).(2)Compare the scores of anal pain: the degree of anal pain in the treatment group was significantly lower than that in the control group after the application of Babao Hemorrhoid Ointment on the first day(P=0.049),the 4rth day(P=0.037)and the7 th day(P=0.006),indicating that Babao Hemorrhoid Ointment had a good effect on the treatment of anal pain caused by inflammatory external hemorrhoid,and the efficacy was better than that of Mayinglong Musk Hemorrhoid Ointment.(3)Compare the scores of the anal swelling feeling: on the first day of treatment,there was no statistical significance in the scores of anal swelling feeling between the treatment group and the control group(P=0.084);On the 4th day of treatment(P=0.006)and the 7th day of treatment(P=0.002),the score of the anal swelling feeling in the treatment group was significantly lower than that in the control group,indicating that Babao Hemorrhoid Ointment had better efficacy than Mayinglong Musk Hemorrhoid Ointment on the anal swelling feeling of inflammatory external hemorrhoid.(4)Comparison of anal edema scores: on the first day of treatment,there was no statistically significant difference in anal edema scores between the treatment group and the control group(P=0.067);On the 4th day(P=0.016)and the 7th day(P=0.013),the score of anal edema in the treatment group was significantly lower than that in the control group,indicating that Babao Hemorrhoid Ointment had better efficacy than Mayinglong Musk Hemorrhoid Ointment in treating inflammatory external hemorrhoid anal edema.(5)Compare the scores of wet sensation and pruritus in the anus: on the first day of treatment,there was no significant difference between the scores of wet sensation and pruritus in the anus in the treatment group and the control group(P=0.051);On the 4th day of treatment(P=0.038)and the 7th day of treatment(P=0.009),the score of wet sensation and pruritus in the anus in the treatment group was significantly lower than that in the control group,indicating that the efficacy of Baobao Hemorrhoid Ointment in improving wet sensation and pruritus in the anus of inflammatory external hemorrhoid was better than that of Mayinglong Musk Hemorrhoid Ointment.3.Safety assessment:No pruritus,fever,rash and other adverse reactions occurred in the treatment process,indicating the safety of external application of Babao Hemorrhoid Ointment in the treatment of inflammatory external hemorrhoid.ConclusionBaobao Hemorrhoid Ointment external treatment can significantly improve the clinical symptoms of treating patients with inflammatory external hemorrhoids,especially to relieve patients’ anal pain symptoms,the degree of anal swelling feeling,improve wet sensation and pruritus in the anus has obvious advantages,the clinical curative effect is stable,and no adverse reaction occurred,security is good,is worth popularization and application. |
