The Adjuvant Function Of Anti-inflammatory Chinese Herbal Medicine Chrysanthemum And Honeysuckle In The Treatment Of Lung Cancer

Cisplatin is one of the most commonly used and most effective cancer chemotherapy drug.The clinical application of cisplatin is limited by drug resistance and side effects.Previous studies have shown that Chinese herbal medicine Huangqin Decoction has significant effects in improving the efficacy of chemotherapy drugs and reducing the side effects caused by chemotherapy drugs.Previously our research group has shown that Dendranthema morifolium(Ramat.)Tzvel.and Lonicera japonica Thunb.have good anti-inflammatory activity.Formulation of D.morifolium and L.japonica with Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch.not only can reduce the toxicity of D.morifolium and L.japonica,but also improve their anti-inflammatory activity and improve immunity.In this study,we further analyzed the dose-effect relationship of the combination of these three herbs for tumor treatment.In vitro experiments showed that L.japonica Just at a concentration of 0.4 mg/m L showed significant activity in enhancing cisplatin toxicity in PC-9,H1299,LLC,MCF-7,MGC-803 and A549.D.morifolium also showed significant activity in enhancing cisplatin toxicity in PC-9,LLC and MCF-7 cancer cell lines just at a concentration of 0.4 mg/m L.but all concentrations of G.uralensis.did not enhance the toxicity of cisplatin in the cell lines involved in this study.This indicates that D.morifolium and L.japonica can be used as a main drug in combination with cisplatin in a mouse experiment at 0.4 mg/m L.In vivo experiments were carried out in mice after G.uralensis was combined with D.morifolium or L.japonica.The results showed that several Chinese herbal compounds were not observed to significantly promote the inhibition of tumor growth by cisplatin,but in the mouse model of acute kidney injury,it was found that the chrysanthemum licorice formula(0.1 mg/kg chrysanthemum + 0.4 mg/kg licorice)can significantly alleviate the weight loss and appetite loss caused by cisplatin under the condition of ensuring its own safety and non-toxicity.H&E staining and immunohistochemistry showed that the formula can attenuate cisplatin-induced renal tissue damage and renal inflammatory cell infiltration and through routine analysis of blood biochemical blood.it was found that the formula can significantly alleviate the abnormality caused by cisplatin.
