Systematic Evaluation Of The Efficacy And Safety Of Indigo Naturalis Pre Paration In The Treatment Of Ulcerative Colitis

Objective:To systematically evaluate the efficacy and safety of indigo naturalis Pre Paration for ulcerative colitis,and Provide evidence-based medicine evidence for further clinical guidance.Method:By using the method of systematic evaluation,we searched Wanfang database,CNKI database,CBM database,VIP database,Pub Med database,Cochrane library database,EMBASE database,and collected the literature of randomized controlled trial of indigo naturalis Preparation in the treatment of ulcerative colitis.Establish reasonable inclusion and exclusion criteria,extract relevant literature and make quality evaluation.Review manager5.3 was used for meta analysis.Results:1.A total of 36 studies were included,2596 Patients.2.The Cochrane risk bias assessment tool developed by the Cochrane collaboration was used to evaluate the quality of the literature,with a low score.3.The analysis results show: Indigo naturalis Preparations for the treatment of ulcerative colitis clinical efficacy is better than that of control group,the difference was statistically significant(RR = 1.17,95% CI(1.12,1.23),P <0.00001),and separately for indigo naturalis Preparation [RR = 1.17,95% CI(1.08,1.27),P = 0.0002)with indigo naturalis drug for joint control group [R= 1.16,95% CI(1.11,1.23),P < 0.00001] there was no statistically significant difference of the clinical curative effect;compared with the control group,Histopathological effect [RR= 1.27,95% CI(1.01,1.59),P=0.004];TCM syndrome score [SMD=-0.41,95% CI(-0.64,-0.19),P=0.004];DAI index[SMD=-1.21,95% CI(-1.74,-0.68),P < 0.00001];CRP[SMD=-0.83,95%CI(-1.48,-0.18),P=0.001],ESR[SMD=-0.58,95% CI(-0.86,-0.30),P<0.00001],reduced the incidence of adverse reactions [RR=0.44,95% CI(0.33,0.59),P<0.00001],reduced disease recurrence [RR=0.32,95% CI(0.21,0.48),P<0.00001,the difference was statistically significant],and the detection results of safety indicators were good.Conclusion:This study suggests that compared with western medicine and Placebo,indigo naturalis Preparation has advantages in improving the clinical efficacy,colonoscopy efficacy,histopathological efficacy,TCM syndrome score,DAI index,CRP and ESR of ulcerative colitis,with low adverse reaction rate,less recurrence,and better safety index detection than the control group.However,due to the generally low quality of the literature included in this study,Publication bias to a certain extent,and limitations in this Paper’s discussion,the existing evidence cannot fully Prove the efficacy and safety of indigo naturalis Preparation for ulcerative colitis,so the conclusions obtained should be treated with caution.Therefore,it is necessary to conduct a multicenter,large sample,high-quality clinical randomized controlled trial to confirm.
