Background: Urinary calculus is a common and frequently-occurring urological disease. At present, there are various minimally invasive therapies for urinary calculi, and flexible ureteroscopy lithotripsy, which has many advantages including small damage, quick postoperative recovery and proved efficacy,is highly popular with doctors and patients. However, flexible ureteroscopy lithotripsy causes a high residual stone rate, with most of the residual stones remaining in the renal pelvis and kidney calices and being difficult to eliminate from the body within quite a long period of time.External physical vibration lithecbole is China’s self-developed method for removing residual stones physically. This method avoids lots of adverse reactions caused by medicine because residual stones are removed by physical vibration, which provides kinetic energy for residual stones, promoting them to be driven out of the body.Theoretically,it can be used to remove residual stone after flexible ureteroscopy lithotripsy, but its efficacy and safety has yet to be further studied. Objectives: To retrospectively analyze the efficacy and safety of external physical vibration lithecbole in removing residual stones from the renal pelvis and kidney calices after flexible ureteroscopy lithotripsy so as to provide theoretical support for the treatment of residual stones with external physical vibration lithecbole after flexible ureteroscopy lithotripsy and provide a theoretical basis for expanding the application of flexible ureteroscopy lithotripsy. Methods: A retrospective cohort study was conducted to screen the patients who underwent flexible ureteroscopy lithotripsy at the X X First People’s Hospital from December 2019 to December 2020 and had residual stones in their renal pelvis and kidney calices as shown by the reexamination results in strict accordance with the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The patients who met the inclusion criteria were divided into the external physical vibration lithecbole group(treatment group)and natural lithecbole group(control group).A homogeneity analysis was made on the general data of the patients in the two groups, and on he premise that there was no significant difference in the general data of the patients in the two groups,a comparative analysis was carried out on the difference between the two groups in the residual stone rate of the first 4 weeks, the change trend of the residual stone rate and the stone removal time for an evaluation of the lithecbole effect;the two groups were also compared in terms of the persistence and change trend of hematuria, lumbago and LEU and the change in the endogenous creatinine clearance rate(CCR)in the first 4 weeks after lithecbole as lithecbole safety indexes for a comprehensive evaluation of the efficacy and safety of external physical vibration lithecbole. Results: There was no significant difference in general data and preoperative residual stone rate, hematuria, lumbago,LEU positive rate, etc.between the treatment group and the control group(P>0.05),suggesting that there was comparability between the two groups. The residual stone rate of the two groups showed a linear decreasing trend in the first 4 weeks after stone removal(P<0.05).Moreover,the residual stone rate of the treatment group was lower than that of the control group in the first 4 weeks after stone removal, while stone removal time of the treatment group was shorter than that of the control group(P<0.05).The changes of hematuria, lumbago and LEU positive rate in the two groups showed a linear decreasing trend in the first 4 weeks after stone removal(P<0.05).To be specific, there was less hematuria, lumbago and LEU positive rate in the treatment group than in the control group in the first 4 weeks after stone removal(P<0.05),while the duration of hematuria, lumbago and LEU positive rate in the treatment group was shorter than that in the control group(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in CCR change between the two groups before and after stone removal(P>0.05).Conclusions: After flexible ureteroscopy lithotripsy, the use of external physical vibration lithecbole can significantly reduce the residual stone rate in the renal pelvis and kidney calices, and accelerate the removal of residual tones from the renal pelvis and kidney calices;external physical vibration lithecbole can significantly reduce the duration of hematuria, lumbago and urinary tract inflammation after flexible ureteroscopy lithotripsy without causing significant renal damage, suggesting that it is safe and effective method of stone removal.
