ObjectiveTo observe and evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety on the treatment of yin deficiency and damp-heat syndrome in urinary tract infection by combining Zhibai Dihuang Decoction and Bazheng Powder.MethodsIn strict accordance with the inclusion and exclusion criteria,84 cases of urinary tract infection of yin deficiency and damp-heat syndrome were selected from the Department of Urology,Guangdong Second Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from November 2019 to December 2020.The 84 observed cases were randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group,with 42 cases in each group.Patients in the treatment group were treated with Zhibai Dihuang Decoction and Bazheng Powder with addition and subtraction,while those in the control group were treated with Niaoganing Granule.After continuous treatment for two weeks,the traditional Chinese medicine symptoms and urine routine in the two groups before and after treatment were statistically analyzed to determine whether the Zhibai Dihuang Decoction and Bazheng Powder has significant effect on the treatment of urinary tract infection of yin deficiency and damp-heat syndrome.Results1.The safety indexes of the two groups before and after treatment were not significantly abnormal,no adverse events were reported,and the safety was acceptable.2.There was no significant difference in age,sex,TCM symptom score,and urine leukocyte before treatment between the two groups,but it was comparable(P>0.05).3.There were significant differences between the two groups in the number of urine leukocytes and TCM symptom score before and after treatment(P<0.05).4.The treatment group was significantly better than the control group in the number of urine leukocytes and TCM symptom score before and after treatment,with statistical differences(P<0.05).5.0n the comparison of the clinical efficacy of Chinese medicine,the total effective rate of the treatment group which was 92.86%was higher than that of the control group,while that rate was 78.57%(P<0.05).6.In the comparison of the clinical efficacy of Western medicine,the total effective rate of the treatment group which was 90.48%was higher than that of the control group,while that rate was 80.95%(P<0.05).Conclusion:The clinical research results of this subject show that Zhibai Dihuang Decoction and Bazheng Powder is effective in treating urinary tract infection with yin deficiency and damp-heat syndrome,which is worthy of clinical promotion.
