Purpose: Through the observation of clinical efficacy of nurturing Yin TonglinDecoction in the treatment of chronic urinary tract infection due to Yin deficiency anddamp-heat syndrome, it is proved whether the traditional Chinese medicine in thetreatment of chronic urinary tract infection is effective and safe, and whether thetreatment can reduce the recurrence of chronic urinary tract infection.Method: Select60patients of chronic urinary tract infection of Yin deficiencyand damp-heat syndrome in the outpatient, and divide them into two groups. Onegroup (treatment group),30patients, take the medicine of nurturing Yin TonglinDecoction; the other group(control group),30patients,take the medicine of Urinarytract rehabilitation particles. The course of treatment is two weeks. Observe thechange of urine test, and symptom before and after the treatment. And analyze thestatistics.Result: after the statistical analysis, the overall effective rate in the treatmentgroup is90.0%, compared to the control group,the overall effective rate is86.7%.Thestatistics shows that there is no difference in the overall effective between thetreatment group and the control group. Besides, the symptom improvement in thetreatment group is more evident than that in the control group.Conclusion: the method for chronic urinary tract infection due to Yin deficiencyand damp-heat syndrome is safe and effective, and reduces the recurrence rate ofchronic urinary tract infection. So it is proved that methods for chronic urinary tractinfection with traditional Chinese medicine are feasible and clinically valuable.
