Clinical Observation On Treatment Of Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease Based On Qi Ascending And Descending Theory

ObjectiveTo observe the clinical efficacy of Hezhongshunqi Decoction in the treatment of Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease(GERD),and to explore the TCM treatment based on Qi Ascending and Descending Theory.MethodsIt is a single-blind randomized controlled clinical research.76 eligible subjects were included and randomly divided into observation group and control group,38 cases in each group.The observation group were treated with Hezhong Shunqi Decoction combined with western medcine and the patients in control group were treated with proton pump inhibitor for 8 weeks.The TCM syndrome curative effect before treatment,after treatment and 4 weeks after drug withdrawal were observed and compared,as well as the typical symptom curative effect and anxiety scale score of the two groups before and after treatment.Results1.TCM syndrome curative efficacy:After 8 weeks of treatment,compared with before treatment,the total symptom scores of the two groups were significantly decreased(P<0.01),and the decrease of the observation group was greater than that of the control group(P<0.01).The total effective rate of TCM syndrome in the observation group(94.74%)was higher than that in the control group(63.16%).After 4 weeks of drug withdrawal,compared with before treatment,the total symptom scores of the two groups were significantly decreased(P<0.01),and the decrease of the observation group was greater than that of the control group(P<0.01).The total effective rate of TCM syndrome in the observation group(97.37%)was higher than that in the control group(55.26%),and the total effective rate in the control group was lower than that after 8 weeks of treatment.2.Symptom curative effect:after 8 weeks of treatment,the total effective rates of acid reflux,heartburn and belching symptoms in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.01).3.Anxiety scale scores:after 8 weeks of treatment,compared with before treatment,the anxiety scale scores of the two groups were significantly decreased(P<0.01),and the decrease of the observation group was greater than that of the control group(P<0.01).ConclusionThe clinical research result shows that Hezhong Shunqi Decoction combined with western medcine can effectively improve the TCM syndrome curative effect of patients with GERD;relieve typical symptoms and anxiety.The TCM treatment based on Qi Ascending and Descending Theory is worthy of further exploration.
