Clinical Observation Of Self-Designed Huangbo Decoction On Postoperative Pain Of Mixed Hemorrhoids With Dampness-Heat Diffusing Downward

Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of self-designed Huangbo decoction on postoperative pain of mixed hemorrhoids with dampness-heat diffusing downward and provide a new idea for the prevention and treatment of postoperative complications of mixed hemorrhoids.Methods:A total of 60 patients with mixed hemorrhoids in line with the syndrome of dampness-heat diffusing downward and the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into two groups,with 30 cases in each group.Both of the two groups were treated with routine therapy after the completion of external stripping and internal ligation,and the experimental group was treated with oral administration of self-designed Huangbo decoction on the basis of routine therapy from postoperative day 1.The VAS pain scores of the two groups were recorded and compared on postoperative days 1,3,5 and 7.The VAS pain scores after defecation and the fecal character of the two groups were recorded and compared after the first postoperative defecation and on postoperative days 3,5 and 7.The anal margin edema scores of the two groups were recorded and compared on postoperative days 1 and 3.Results:There was no statistically significant difference in baseline characteristics between the experimental group and the control group.On postoperative day 1,no statistically significant difference in VAS pain scores between the two groups was found(P>0.05).On postoperative days 3,5 and 7,the VAS pain scores of the experimental group were lower and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).No statistically significant difference in the distribution of fecal character of the two groups was found after the first postoperative defection,and on postoperative days 3,5(P>0.05),more patients excreted formed soft feces in the experimental group on postoperative day 7,and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).No statistically significant difference was found in the VAS pain scores after the first postoperative defecation of the two groups(P>0.05),the VAS pain scores after defecation of the experimental group were lower on postoperative days 3,5 and 7,and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the anal margin edema scores between the two groups on postoperative day 1(P>0.05),the anal margin edema scores of the experimental group were lower on postoperative day 3,and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion: The oral administration of self-designed huangbo decoction based on meridian differentiation theory is effective in ameliorating postoperative pain,anal margin edema,and defecation character of mixed hemorrhoids with dampness-heat diffusing downward.
