Clinical Study On Qihuang Needle Therapy For The Treatment Of Parkinson’s Disease Constipation Symptom

ObiectivesComparing the clinical efficacy of Qihuang Needle therapy with ordinary acupuncture in treating Parkinson’s disease constipation symptom provides an objective basis for Qihuang Needle treatment of Parkinson’s disease constipation symptom,and explores an effective method for clinically treating Parkinson’s disease constipation symptom.MethodsSelected 60 patients who met the inclusion criteria in the Encephalopathy and Acupuncture Clinic of GuangDong Second Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital,the Acupuncture Clinic of the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine,and the inpatient department of Luogang Welfare Institute in Huangpu District.The patients were divided into a treatment group and a control group,each with 30 people,a treatment group(Qihuang Needle therapy),as well as a control group(ordinary acupuncture).The treatment cycle is 4 weeks.These patients will be treated twice a week in the first two weeks and once a week in the following two weeks.Use the Constipation Severity Instrument(CSI),the Quality of Life Self-rating Scale for Constipation Patients(PAC-QOL),and the Parkinson’s disease Quality of Daily life Scale(PDQ-39)as curative effect evaluation indicators to understand whether the symptom of constipation are improved,whether it brings corresponding improvement in the quality of life related to constipation,and whether there is an overall improvement in daily life.The data was analyzed and processed by SPSS26.0 statistical software.The Constipation Severity Tool Scale was used as the main efficacy evaluation index to compare the changes as well as differences between and within the two groups before and after treatment to evaluate the efficacy of Qihuang Needle therapy.Results1.Compared with the baseline before treatment between the Qihuang Needle group and the ordinary acupuncture group,there was no statistical significance between the two groups in terms of age,gender,education,course of constipation,as well as H-Y classification(P>0.05).They were comparable between the groups.2.CSI score:The CSI scores of the Qihuang Needle group and the ordinary acupuncture group both decreased after treatment,and the score of the Qihuang Needle group decreased more than the ordinary acupuncture group.There was a statistical difference between the two before and after treatment(P<0.05),and there was also a statistical difference between the two after treatment,which was statistically significant(P<0.05).It shows that the two treatment methods have curative effect on the symptom of Parkinson’s disease constipation,and the Qihuang Needle group is better than the ordinary acupuncture group.3.PAC-QOL score:The PAC-QOL scores of the Qihuang Needle group and the ordinary acupuncture group both decreased before and after treatment,and the score of the Qihuang Needle group decreased more than the ordinary acupuncture group.There was a statistical difference between the two before and after treatment(P<0.05),and the scores of the two groups also had a significant difference after treatment(P<0.05),which was statistically significant.It shows that the two treatment methods have curative effect on the quality of life related to Parkinson’s disease constipation,and the Qihuang Needle group is better than the ordinary acupuncture group.4.PDQ-39 score:The PDQ-39 score of the two groups decreased before and after treatment.There was no statistical difference between the Qihuang Needle group and the ordinary acupuncture group before and after the treatment(P>0.05).The two groups were scored after the treatment.There was no significant difference(P>0.05).It shows that the two have no obvious effect on improving the overall daily life of PD patients.5.Comparison of clinical efficacy:the total effective rate of Qihuang Needle group is 56.7%,and that of ordinary acupuncture group is 11.5%.There is a statistical difference in the efficacy of the two before and after treatment(P<0.05).It shows that the total effective rate of Qihuang Needle group in treating Parkinson’s disease constipation is better than that of ordinary acupuncture group.ConclusionBoth Qihuang Needle therapy and ordinary acupuncture group can improve the constipation symptom and constipation-related quality of life in patients with PD constipation.But Qihuang Needle has a better effect.Qihuang Needle therapy and ordinary acupuncture have a trend of improving the overall daily life of patients with PD constipation,but there is no significant difference between the two.Qihuang is safe for Parkinson’s disease constipation and is suitable for clinical promotion.
