Objective: To observe the TCM symptom score, clinical sign score and RQLQ quality of life scale score of patients with allergic rhinitis treated by acupuncture combined with traditional Chinese medicine, and to evaluate the clinical efficacy of acupuncture combined with traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of allergic rhinitis with conventional acupuncture as the control group,so as to provide clinical basis for exploring more active and effective treatment methods of the disease. Methods: 60 patients were randomly divided into treatment group and control group,30 cases in each group. The treatment group was treated with acupuncture and oral administration of Mahuang Fuzi Xixin decoction, while the control group was treated with acupuncture only. Before and after treatment, the TCM symptom score, allergic rhinitis sign score and RQLQ quality of life scale score of the two groups were recorded, and the data were statistically analyzed, and the difference of curative effect was compared and analyzed.Results:1.Comparison of TCM single symptom score: the difference of TCM single symptom score between the two groups before and after treatment was statistically significant in sneezing, runny nose, nasal congestion, nasal itching, fear of wind, fear of cold, spontaneous sweating, fatigue and other aspects(P<0.05).The treatment group was better than the control group in improving sneezing, runny nose, nasal congestion, nasal itching, fear of wind, fear of cold, self perspiration, body fatigue, etc.,and had the same effect in improving low voice and pale complexion(P>0.05).The difference between the two groups before and after treatment was statistically significant(P<0.01).2.Comparison of clinical signs: before treatment, the clinical signs scores of the two groups had no statistical significance(P >0.05),which was comparable. After treatment, the clinical sign scores of the two groups decreased, and the difference between the two groups was compared(P < 0.05).The results showed that the treatment group was better than the control group.3.RQLQ quality of life scale score comparison: the difference between the two groups before and after treatment was statistically significant in improving nasal/eye symptoms, non nasal/eye symptoms, practical problems, nasal symptoms, eye symptoms, mood and other aspects(P<0.05),but not in improving sleep(P>0.05).4.Comparison of TCM syndrome efficacy: the total effective rate of the treatment group was 92.857%,and that of the control group was 71.428%,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion: acupuncture combined with oral Chinese medicine can significantly improve the clinical symptoms of patients with allergic rhinitis of lung qi deficiency cold type, and reduce the scores of TCM symptoms, signs of allergic rhinitis and RQLQ quality of life scale, and the clinical efficacy of acupuncture group is better than that of simple acupuncture group.
