Clinical Observation On External Application Of Xiaoying Powder In The Treatment Of Benign Thyroid Nodules

Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of the external application of Xiaoying powder on benign thyroid nodules with qi stagnation,phlegm coagulation and blood stasis,and to evaluate the safety.To discuss the etiology and pathogenesis of benign thyroid nodules.To further explore the intrinsic mechanism of the external application of Chinese medicine on thyroid nodules.In order to open up new ideas for clinical treatment of this disease.Methods:A total of 70 patients with benign thyroid nodule who treated in Weifang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from September 2019 to October 2020 were selected,and their syndrome differentiation was consistent with the type of qi stagnation,phlegm coagulation and blood stasis.According to the order of treatment,the patients were divided into two groups by random numbering system,with 35 cases each within the treatment group and the control group.The control group was given Xiakucao oral liquid 10ml/d twice a day orally,while the treatment group was given external application of Xiaoying powder once a day.Treatment were 3 consecutive sessions,each for 30 days.Before and after treatment,three safety indexes of thyroid function,liver and kidney function and blood routine were tested.The maximum transverse diameter of nodules,the scores of high risk factors for nodules,TCM syndrome scores and HA-MA scale scores were assessed before and after treatment.All data information was entered into Excel and the data analysis was performed using SPSS 22.0 statistical software.Results:1.The treatment and control groups shed 2 cases respectively,and 33 cases were finally completed in each group.2.The maximum transverse diameter of the nodules in both groups is smaller than that before treatment,and the treatment group is superior to the control group(P<0.05).The efficacy of ultrasound is 72.73% in the treatment group and 51.52% in the control group,which is better in the treatment group than the control group(P<0.05).3.In 66 patients,nodules with diameter≤1cm had better therapeutic effect(P<0.05).4.After treatment,the scores of high risk factors for nodules in both groups are decreased,and there is no statistical significance between the two groups(P>0.05).5.In terms of TCM syndrome score and HA-MA scale score,both groups are lower after treatment than before treatment,and the control group is better than the treatment group(P<0.05)6.The TCM evidence efficacy has a total effective rate of 63.64% in the treatment group and 75.76% in the controlgroup,and the control group is higher than the treatment group(P<0.05).7.There are no changes in thyroid function,blood routine,liver and kidney function in 2 groups compared with before treatment(P>0.05),and no adverse reactions are found.Conclusion:External application of Xiaoying Powder can significantly reduce the maximum transverse diameter of thyroid nodules.It can reduce the risk of malignant transformation of nodules,and improve the clinical indications of thyroid nodules with qi stagnation,phlegm coagulation and blood stasis.There is no obvious adverse reaction,and it is safe in clinical application and worthy of further promotion and in depth study.
