Clinical Study On Prevention And Treatment Of Carotid Atherosclerotic Plaques(Disharmony Between Ying And Wei)with The Combination Of Acupoints And Drugs

Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of appropriate drugs(Paeonia,cassia twig)combined with acupuncture points(Taixi,Shangyang)based on conventional western medicine in the treatment of patients with Carotid atherosclerotic plaque(disharmony between Ying and Wei),and observe its effect on carotid artery color ultrasound,blood lipid leveland CRP,and to study the mitigating effect of the combination of this pair of acupoints and the pair of drugs on AS and evaluate its safety.Methods: Control group and treatment group,30 cases in each group,and there were no gender restrictions for each group,the treatment group was given Atorvastatin calcium tablet(Lipitor)based on oral 12 g of Paeonia lactiflora and 12 g of cassium twig(1:1)granules,which were made by prescription granules in the preparation room of our hospital,1 bag/time,twice/day,orally;At the same time,use the shovel needle to needle Taixi and Shangyang points.After 20-24 hours,take out the needle and re-use the shovel needle to acupuncture 5 times a week.The control group was given Atorvastatin Calcium Tablet(Lipitor)20mg,once a day.The course of treatment was 6 months.After treatment,the serum levels of Total cholesterol(TC),Triglyceride(TG),Low-density lipoprotein(LDL-C)and hypersensitive C-reactive protein(Hs-CRP)were detected by automatic biochemical analyzer.At the same time,carotid artery ultrasonography was performed to detect changes in the Intra-media thickness of carotid artery.Results: A total of 60 cases were included in this experiment,and no cases were shed or excluded during the experiment.The results were as follows:(1)The blood lipid level,TCM syndrome score,Hs-CRP level,Intra-media thickness of carotid artery were significantly improved in both groups after treatment(P<O.O5);(2)The TCM syndrome scores of both groups decreased after treatment,the total effective rate of the treatment group was 90.0%,and the total effective rate of the control group was 56.7%,and there was significant difference between the two groups(P<O.O5),the score of the treatment group was lower than that of the control group;(3)In hematologic examination,after treatment,the blood lipid level and Hs-CRP level were decreased in the two groups,and there were significant differences between the two groups(P<O.O5),the treatment group was lower than the control group;(4)In terms of clinical efficacy of carotid ultrasound,IMT value and Crouse score decreased in the two groups before and after treatment,but there was no significant difference in intra-group comparison before treatment and inter-group comparison after treatment(P>O.O5);(5)Safety evaluation: There were no abnormal indicators of drug-related liver and kidney function or adverse events in the two groups before and after treatment.Conclusion: The application of appropriate drugs(Paeonia and cassia twig)combined with acupuncture points(Taixi and Shangyang)can significantly reduce the level of blood lipid and the secretion of inflammatory factors in patients,improve the symptoms of self-sweating,night sweat and fatigue,reduce the thickness of medial carotid artery,control the expansion and progress of carotid atherosclerotic plaque,and has certain safety.
