Correlation Between The Ratio Of Internal Carotid Artery And Common Carotid Artery Diameter Combined With Carotid Bifurcation Angle And Atherosclerosis At The Beginning Of Internal Carotid Artery

Objective:The study is to explore the correlation between the ratio of the internal carotid artery to the common carotid artery diameter combined with the carotid bifurcation angle and arteriosclerosis plaque formation at the beginning of the internal carotid artery.Methods:The patients with head and neck aortic arch CTA from October 2016 to June 2018 at the Affiliated Hospital of Chengde Medical College will be grouped by gender and age by the investigator.We Continuous collect 25-44 years old,45-64 years old and 65 years old and older males,the normal and arteriosclerosis plaque internal carotid artery every 30 sides,a total of 180 sides.We Continuous collect 25-44 years old,45-64 years old and 65 years old and older females,the normal and arteriosclerosis plaque internal carotid artery every 30 sides,a total of 180 sides.all are 360 side,All selected cases met the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria.We organize the required image data and measure the diameter of the common carotid artery A(1.5 cm from the bifurcation angle of the common carotid artery),Internal diameter of the internal carotid artery B(1.5 cm from the bifurcation angle of the internal carotid artery),the carotid bifurcation angle,and calculate the ratio of the inner diameter B to A,we name it d.By comparing the ratio d of the inner diameter and the size of the bifurcation angle between the normal group and the arteriosclerosis plaque group in the same age and the same sex group,we explore its association with plaque formation at the beginning of the internal carotid artery.Result:1.The Relationship between inner diameter ratio d,bifurcation angle α and atherosclerotic plaque formation at the beginning of the internal carotid artery in the 25-44 age groupThe ratio of the inner diameter of the plaque group was smaller than that of the normal group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The size of the bifurcation angle of the plaque group was larger than that of the normal group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).2.The Relationship between inner diameter ratio d,bifurcation angle α and atherosclerotic plaque formation at the beginning of the internal carotid artery in the 45-65 age groupThe ratio of the inner diameter of the plaque group was smaller than that of the normal group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The size of the bifurcation angle of the plaque group was larger than that of the normal group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).3.The relationship between inner diameter ratio d,bifurcation angle α and atherosclerotic plaque formation at the beginning of the internal carotid artery in 65 years old and older group.The ratio of the inner diameter of the plaque group was smaller than that of the normal group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The size of the bifurcation angle of the plaque group was larger than that of the normal group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Through the integrated analysis of the results:1.The smaller the ratio of the internal diameter of the internal carotid artery to the inner diameter of the common carotid artery,the higher the likelihood that atherosclerotic plaque will occur at the beginning of the internal carotid artery.2.The bigger the bifurcation angle of the common carotid artery,the higher the likelihood that atherosclerotic plaque will occur at the beginning of the internal carotid artery.
