Clinical Study On Treatment Of Chondromalacia Patellae By Wei’s Manipulation Combined With Traditional Chinese Medicine Hot Treatment

Objective:This clinical study by observing the Wei’s manipulation combined with Traditional Chinese Medicine Hot Treatment in treatment of chondromalacia patellae(cold dampness bizu type)of clinical curative effect and mechanism of action,and with the simple Wei’s manipulation were compared and simple Traditional Chinese Medicine Hot Treatment,to seek a simple and safe,efficient,high compliance of comprehensive treatment,provide the basis for clinical application.Methods: The 90 patients were randomly divided into three groups,namely combined group,simple manipulation group and simple Traditional Chinese Medicine Hot Treatment group,with 30 cases in each group.In the actual observation process,16 cases fell off due to various reasons,and 25 cases in the combined group,25 cases in the simple manipulation group,and24 cases in the simple Traditional Chinese Medicine Hot Treatment group were finally completed.The combined group was treated with Wei’s manipulation combined with Traditional Chinese Medicine Hot Treatment,the simple manipulation group was treated with Wei’s manipulation,and the simple Traditional Chinese Medicine Hot Treatment group was treated with Traditional Chinese Medicine Hot Treatment,once every 3 days for 1 month(calculated as 30 days).Local pain point tenderness value,knee VAS score,knee Lysholm score,TCM syndrome score and knee motion were observed before and after treatment in the three groups,and adverse reactions were recorded.SPSS25.0 was used for statistical analysis.Results: Before treatment,there was no statistical significance in gender,age,site of onset,course of disease,local pain point tenderness value,knee joint VAS score,knee joint Lysholm score,TCM syndrome score and knee joint range of motion among three groups(P > 0.05).(1)Comparison of local pain point tenderness values: in terms of improving local pain point tenderness values,the combined group was better than the simple manipulation group and the simple Traditional Chinese Medicine Hot Treatment group,and the simple manipulation group was better than the simple Traditional Chinese Medicine Hot Treatment group.(2)Comparison of VAS scores of knee joint pain: In terms of improving VAS scores of knee joint pain,the combined group was superior to the simple manipulation group and the simple Traditional Chinese Medicine Hot Treatment group,and the improvement degree of the simple manipulation group and the simple Traditional Chinese Medicine Hot Treatment group was similar.(3)Comparison of Lysholm score of knee joint: in terms of improving Lysholm score of knee joint,the combined group was better than the simple manipulation group and the simple Traditional Chinese Medicine Hot Treatment group,and the simple manipulation group was better than the simple Traditional Chinese Medicine Hot Treatment group.(4)Comparison of TCM syndrome scores: in terms of improvement of TCM syndrome scores,the combined group was better than the simple manipulation group and the simple Traditional Chinese Medicine Hot Treatment group,and the improvement degree of the simple manipulation group and the simple Traditional Chinese Medicine Hot Treatment group was similar.(5)Comparison of the range of motion of knee joint: in terms of improving the range of motion of knee joint,the combined group was better than the simple manipulation group and the simple Traditional Chinese Medicine Hot Treatment group,and the simple manipulation group was better than the simple Traditional Chinese Medicine Hot Treatment group.(6)Overall efficacy comparison: after treatment,the combined group of25 patients with cold dampness obstruction patelomalacia patients with the total effective rate of 92%;In the simple manipulation group,the total effective rate of 25 patients with patelomalacia of cold and dampness obstruction was 80%.The total effective rate of 24 patients with cold dampness obstruction patelomalacia in the simple Traditional Chinese Medicine Hot Treatment group was 75%.Conclusion(s):1.Both Wei’s manipulation and Traditional Chinese Medicine Hot Treatment group are effective in the treatment of chondromalacia patellae(cold and dampness obstruction type),and the efficacy of the combination of the two is better than that of Wei’s manipulation or Traditional Chinese Medicine Hot Treatment,and the recurrence rate is low.2.Wei’s manipulation combined with Traditional Chinese Medicine Hot Treatment has definite curative effect,simple operation and high safety in alleviating pain in patients with osteomalacia genu,improving knee joint mobility and TCM syndromes.It is a comprehensive therapy with TCM characteristics worthy of clinical promotion.
