Objective: The coping style of both spouses to the stressors of infertility affects the patient’s physical and mental state.Based on psychological stress and system-transaction model theory, this study explores the relationship between the dyadic coping level of infertility patients and their spouses and the patient’s stigma level, and aims to understand the status quo and influencing factors of infertility patients’ stigma.Husband and wife dyadic coping to the status quo,in order to explore ways to alleviate the stigma of infertility patients and improve the treatment effect. Methods: From January 2020 to November 2020,a total of 199 couples of female infertility patients and their spouses who came to the hospital for treatment in two tertiary A general hospitals were selected as the research objects. The general situation questionnaire, the Infertility stigma scale(ISS)for female infertility patients, and the Chinese version of the Dyadic Coping Inventory(DCI)were used as survey tools to investigate.Using EXCEL2013 to manage the data,SPSS25.0 software for descriptive analysis, paired sample t-test,and correlation analysis of the data, and IBM SPSS Modeler to build a neural network prediction model.Results:(1)This study collected a total of 199 effective data on infertility patients and their spouses. The stigma score of infertility patients was68.5±14.72 points, and the scores of each dimension were ranked in descending order: social withdrawal 3.170±0.704 points, family humiliation2.763±0.404 points,self-degrading 2.373±0.490 points, and surrounding population humiliation 2.163±0.460 points. In this study,67.8% of patients with infertility had a moderate level of stigma, followed by 32.2% with a low level, and no patients with a high level were found.(2)The dyadic coping score of infertility patients is 117.9±13.24 points, and the spouse’s dual coping score is 118.34±12.03 points.By paired t-test,the stress communication dimension score of infertility patients was significantly higher than the spouse score(P<0.01),and the passive support coping score of the patient was significantly lower than the spouse score(P<0.01).Correlation analysis: Pressure communication, active support response, negative support response, agency support response, joint support response, and response evaluation were significantly related to infertility patients and their spouses(P<0.01).(3)Correlation analysis showed that the dyadic coping scores of infertility patients and the dyadic coping scores of spouses were significantly correlated with the stigma scores of infertility patients(r=0.659,P<0.01;r=0.61,P<0.01).(4)The results of multiple linear regression analysis based on the stigma of infertility patients with dependent variables showed that the method of payment, the total score of the spouse’s DCI,the total score of the patient’s DCI,the presence or absence of children, and the patient’s occupation are all factors of the patient’s stigma.Influencing factors(t=-3.717,P<0.001;t=-2.991,P=0.003;t=-2.904,P=0.004;t=-3.717,P=0.004;t=-3.226,P=0.001),common Explain 57.9% of the total variation of the equation.(5)The results of single factor analysis(variables with P<0.1),the total score of spouse’s DCI,and the total score of patient’s DCI were used to construct a neural network prediction model for the stigma level of infertility patients, and verified by the area under the ROC curve(Az= 0.901,P<0.001),the results show that the model can predict the stigma level of infertility patients.Conclusion(s):(1)The level of stigma of infertility patients in this study area needs to be improved, and attention should be paid to patients with self-finance,no children,no fixed job,and low level of dyadic coping of couples.(2)The dyadic coping level of infertility patients and their spouses is within the normal level, but it still needs to be improved.(3)Faced with the pressure of infertility, the coping strategies of infertility patients and their spouses are different. When performing dyadic coping interventions, attention should be paid to reducing the negative supportive coping behaviors of both parties, and increasing effective communication and joint coping behaviors between the two.
