Clinical Observation Of Bushen Zhuanggu Jiedu Decoction On Endocrine Therapy Of Breast Cancer Related Osteoporosis

Objective:To observe the effect of Bushen Zhuanggu Jiedu decoction on the clinical symptoms,bone mineral density and quality of life of patients with breast cancer endocrine therapy-related osteoporosis to evaluate the clinical efficacy.Method:Sixty patients with breast cancer meeting the inclusion standard were randomly divided into treatment group and control group.Calcium and vitamins supplementation were used for the control group.Upon the basis of the control group,the treatment group received the the therapy of self-made Bushen Zhuanggu Jiedu decoction(Parasitic loranthus,himalayan teasel root,bidentate achyranthes,prepared rehmannia root,yam,asiatic cornelian cherry fruit,plastrum testudinis,cortex phellodendri,suberect spatholobus stem,caulis polygoni multiflori,fructus liquidambaris,medulla helwingiae),and addition and subtraction according to the symptoms during the treatment.The therapy time of both groups was standed as 6 months.The TCM clinical-related symptoms scores,femoral neck bone density,bone supersession indexes(including serum alkaline phosphatase,blood calcium,blood phosphorus),soreness scores and quality of life scores of patients in two groups before and after therapy were observed to evaluate effect.SPSS 24.0 software was used to complete the data statistical analysis.Results:(1)The score of TCM symptoms:The TCM symptom scores of the two groups of patients after receiving therapy were improved compared with that before medical treatment(P<0.05),and the TCM symptom scores of the treatment group were superior to those of another group(P<0.05).(2)Pain score and quality of life score:After receiving therapy,the pain scores and quality of life scores of both groups were superior to those before treatment(P<0.05).The pain was lessened after medical treatment with Bushen Zhuanggu Jiedu Decoction.The treatment group was superior to the control group in improving the degree of pain relief and upgrading the quality of life of patients(P<0.05).(3)Bone mineral density:There was no statistical discrepancy between the two groups after receiving therapy(P>0.05).But the alremation percentage of femoral neck bone density in the treatment group was 0.9724 ± 3.3580%(x±s)after treatment,and in another group that was-1.1741±3.7456%(x±s),with a P value of<0.05,which was statistically significant.(4)Bone metabolism indexes:After receiving therapy,the discrepancy of serum alkaline phosphatase,blood calcium,and blood phosphorus between both groups were not significant(P>0.05).(5)Efficacy:After receiving 6 months of meidical therapy,the treatment group had 0 clinically cured case,2 markedly effective cases,21 effective cases,and 7 ineffective cases;anotherl group had 0 clinically cured case,0 markedly effective case,0 effective case,and 30 ineffective cases.By rank sum test,Z=-6.00,P<0.05,there was a significant difference.(6)Safety index:In the 60 cases that completed the study,no clinically considerable abnormal blood routine,liver function,kidney function and other safety indicators appeared,and no serious adverse reactions occurred.Conclusion:Bushen Zhuanggu Jiedu decoction can significantly amelioratethe clinical symptoms of osteoporosis patients who have receivd breast cancer endocrine treatment,such as bone and joint pain and so on.It is conducive to postponing the decline rate of bone mineral density of breast cancer patients after endocrine therapy,and ameliorating the quality of life of patients.
