| Objective:This study takes postoperative gastric cancer patients’ psychological distress as the starting point to understand the current situation of postoperative gastric cancer patients’ emotional intelligence,coping styles and psychological distress and their differences in general data;Analyze the correlation between postoperative gastric cancer patients’ emotional intelligence,coping styles and psychological distress;Explore the influencing factors of postoperative gastric cancer patients’ psychological distress,and provide theoretical basis for reducing postoperative gastric cancer patients’ psychological distress in clinical nursing work.Methods: Aconvenience sampling method was adopted to select 170 patients who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria of this study from October 2019 to November 2020 in two tertiary A general type hospitals in Jilin Province and one tertiary A general type hospital in Shandong Province after gastric cancer surgery in general surgery and oncology departments as the subjects of this survey study.Questionnaires were distributed and collected on the spot,178 questionnaires were distributed and 170 were collected,with a valid return rate of 95.50%.Statistical analysis of the data was performed using SPSS 26.0 software.Results:(1)The total score of emotional intelligence scores of the study subjects ranged from 22 to 75(51.89±18.81),and the emotional intelligence was at a low level.The level of emotional intelligence of the study subjects was statistically different(P < 0.05)in relation to age,education level,marital status and per capita monthly household income.(2)The total coping style scores of the study subjects ranged from 31 to 65(48.15±6.61),with most of them adopting negative coping.The coping styles of the study subjects were related to their education level,marital status and per capita monthly household income,with statistical differences(P < 0.05).(3)The median psychological distress score of the study subjects was 4,and the score was approximately normally distributed with a mean score of(4.30±1.94),and the detection rate of psychological distress disorders was 71.2%.The primary problem in the relevant entries was emotional problems,followed by physical problems and practical problems last.The level of psychological distress of the study subjects was statistically different(P< 0.05)in relation to age,education level,monthly per capita family income,marital status and medical payment method.(4)There was a positive correlation between emotional intelligence and coping style of the study subjects(r=0.636,P<0.01),a negative correlation between emotional intelligence and psychological distress(r=-0.639,P<0.01),and a negative correlation between psychological distress and coping style(r=-0.427,P<0.01).(5)Through multiple linear regression analysis of psychological distress of the study subjects,the magnitude of the influencing variables were ranked according to the P value: the level of psychological distress and medical payment method,monthly per capita household income,and emotional intelligence were predictive in this study,and the explanation rate of the equation was45.8%,which was statistically significant(P < 0.05).Conclusion:(1)The emotional intelligence level of the subjects in this study showed a low level,negative coping style was dominant,and psychological distress showed a medium level.(2)The higher the score of psychological distress,the lower the score of emotional intelligence,and the more the coping style tends to be negative coping.(3)The factors influencing the psychological distress of the study participants were: emotional intelligence,per capita monthly household income,and medical payment method. |
