Objective: Clinical and imaging data of female patients with pulmonary nodules were analyzed retrospectively to uncover some valuable information and provide clinical indicators with reference value for improving the diagnosis of malignant pulmonary nodules in female patients. Methods: A total of 134 female patients with solitary pulmonary nodules in Huangshan People’s hospital from October 2015 to October 2020 were selected as the research objects,of which 88 were malignant and 46 were benign.Clinical data including age, body mass index(BMI),smoking history, history of chronic lung disease, own or family tumors, clinical symptoms, tumor indicators(carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA),cytokeratin 19 fragment(CYFRA-21-1),neural specific enolase(NSE)),thoracic imaging as well as pathology were obtained using the medical record retrieval system and telephone follow-up methods and retrospectively analyzed.Patients were divided into benign or malignant group according to the pathology, the differences among them were compared, the risk factors of malignant pulmonary nodules were identified through regression analysis. Results: There were statistically significant difference between the two groups in terms of age, history of chronic lung disease, own or family tumor history,CEA,CYFRA-21-1,NSE and chest HRCT features(lobular, spicule, pleual retraction and vessel convergence signs)(P<0.05),while the difference were no significant for BMI,nodule diameter, smoking history and clinical symptoms(P>0.05).Logistic regression analysis was performed with whether a malignant pulmonary nodule as the dependent variable,age,CYFRA-21-1,spicule and vessel convergence signs were found as independent risk factors for malignant pulmonary nodules(P<0.05).Conclusion: 1.Adenocarcinoma is the main pathological type in female patients with malignant pulmonary nodules.2.Age is an independent risk factor for malignant pulmonary nodules in women, and the incidence of malignant pulmonary nodules in middle-aged and elderly women is higher than that in young women.3.CYFRA-21-1,spicule and vessel convergence signs are also independent risk factors for malignant pulmonary nodules.Malignant pulmonary nodules may be found and intervened early once chest CT screening and CYFRA-21-1 detection were performed as soon as possible, thus effectively reducing the mortality rate and providing new ideas for early prevention and clinical diagnosis and treatment of malignant pulmonary nodules.
