| Objective:to investigate the self-care ability and life quality of patients with permanent enterostomy at home,to analyze the effect of enabling education on self-care ability and life quality of patients with permanent enterostomy at home,to clarify the application effect of enabling education theory on patients with permanent enterostomy at home,to provide a reference basis for the community to develop home self-care program for patients with permanent enterostomy in the future.Methods:This study is a kind of experimental study,using the method of random number table,totally 93 patients who received permanent colorectal cancer enterostomy for the first time and stayed at home after discharge from3 Grade II,Grade A and above hospitals in the City of Yanji from December 2019 to May 2020 were selected.They were randomly divided into control group with 46 cases and intervention group with 47 cases.collected relevant data 12 weeks later after discharge,Observed the changes of self-care ability and life quality before and after intervention,and evaluated the effect of intervention,All data were analyzed using SPSS26.0,Chi-square and independent samplet test were used for analysis.P<0.05,the difference was statistically significant.Results:(1)The subjects’ basic demographic data: 93 patients with permanent enterostomy at home,most of them are between 50 and 60 years old.59.14% of the patients were male;In the aspect of marriage,patients with spouses were in the majority;In terms of educational background,those with junior high school education account for the majority;In terms of occupation,78.49% were retired or unemployed;The patients with a per capita monthly income of less than 3,000 yuan accounted for 56%.In the care of the ostomy,80% of the patients required assistance;There was no statistically significant difference in baseline data(P > 0.05).(2)The total score of self-care ability of patients in the two groups before intervention was(48.73±2.75)points in the control group and(49.00±3.55)points in the intervention group,which was at a low level.After 12 weeks of intervention,the total score of self-care ability of patients in the two groups was(57.99±2.23)points in the control group and(69.42±1.013)points in the intervention group,which was at a medium level.The self-care ability of patients in both groups was improved,and the score in the intervention group was significantly higher than that in the control group,with statistical significance(P < 0.05).(3)The total life quality scores of the two groups before intervention were(126.48±10.00)points in the control group and(126.21±13.64)points in the intervention group,which was at low level.After 12 weeks of intervention,the total score of life quality in the two groups was(145.05±21.10)points in the control group and(164.73±11.53)points in the intervention group,,which was at a medium level.The total score of quality of life in 2 groups was increased,and the intervention group was significantly higher than the control group,with statistical significance(P < 0.05).(4)Before intervention,the number of stoma complications in the two groups was1 in the control group and 2 in the intervention group,with no statistical significance(P>0.05).After 12 weeks of intervention,the number of stoma complications in the two groups was 12 in the control group and 2 in the intervention group.The number of stoma complications in the intervention group was significantly lower than that in the control group,with statistical significance(P < 0.05).Conclusion:(1)Enabling education intervention can effectively improve the self-care abili-ty of patients with permanent enterostomy at home,among which,self-care awa-reness,self-care knowledge and self-care skills have obvious effects.(2)Enabling education intervention can effectively improve the life quality of patients with permanent enterostomy at home,but the effect is not obvious in the dimension of physical health,therefore further research and discussion are needed(3)Enabling education intervention can effectively reduce the number of sto-ma complications in patients with permanent enterostomy at home. |
