Objective:1.Through a questionnaire survey of front-line clinical nurses to understand the pain management knowledge and attitude of clinical nurses and the status of empathy level. At the same time, the correlation between the two is explored,so as to seek to improve the pain management knowledge and attitude by improving the level of empathy, provide personalized management basis for clinical nursing managers, let each patient enjoy more intimate nursing services, ease the relationship between nurses and patients,in order to better serve patients, promote health.2.By analyzing the influencing factors of empathy level, pain management knowledge and attitude,it provides a basis for nursing managers to develop personalized training model. Methods:From May 2020 to October 2020,the researcher conducted a questionnaire survey among 2702 clinical nurses in three tertiary class A hospitals in Dalian and Shenyang,Liaoning province. The questionnaire consists of three parts: They are general information questionnaire,Chinese version of pain management knowledge and attitude survey questionnaire,Chinese version Jefferson empathy scale. When the data is collected, the double input method is selected to input all the data into the Excel, and the SPSS24.0 is used for the statistical analysis of the data.Statistical methods were as follows:The correlation analysis methods are multivariate linear regression analysis and Pearson analysis, the difference analysis methods are t-test and single factor variance analysis, and the descriptive statistics are expressed as relative number and`x±s.Significant level is α=0.05.Results:1.The correct response rate of pain management knowledge of 2106 qualified clinical nurses was 21.95~75.61%,and the average correct response rate was46.25±7.81%,which was far lower than the qualified rate 80%,indicating that the level of pain management knowledge and attitude was low.The distribution was as follows:the lowest correct answer rate of nurses was 21~25%,and the number of nurses was the lowest, accounting for only 0.3% of the total number. The correct answer rate of nurses was at most 41~45%,accounting for 25.9% of the total number. The correct response rate of pain management knowledge of nurses was generally normal distribution.2.There were significant differences in the correct answer rates of pain management knowledge and attitude among nurses from different hospitals, education background, position, professional title, the number of monthly night shift and the change of educational background(P < 0.05);There were significant differences in the correct response rate of pain management knowledge among nurses in different departments, among which the highest correct response rate was 47.34±9.15 for operating room nurses and 44.48±7.12 for nurses in intensive care department.3.The lowest score of clinical nurses’ empathy questionnaire was 71 points, and the highest score was 140 points, with a mean of 113.34 points and a standard deviation of13.40.Their scores on the empathy questionnaire tended to be normally distributed. The average score of each dimension of empathy from high to low was as follows:viewpoint choice dimension(62.19±7.36 points),emotional care dimension(39.85±7.35points),perspective-taking dimension(11.30±2.81 points).4.Univariate analysis of general data of empathy level showed that there was statistical significance in the correct answer rate among different hospitals, education background, position, professional title and night shift number(P < 0.05).5.The correlation analysis results of nurses’ empathy and pain management knowledge and attitude showed that the higher the level of clinical nurses’ empathy, the higher the level of pain management knowledge and attitude, there is a positive correlation between the two.6.Multivariate linear regression analysis of nurses’ answer rate of pain management knowledge and attitude showed that the first education, the highest education, the number of monthly night shift, professional title and empathy score were five variables entering the equation, which were important factors affecting pain management knowledge and attitude.Conclusion:1.The overall pain management knowledge and attitude level of clinical nurses is poor, which needs to be improved.Demographic differences should be paid attention to,especially for nurses with low educational level, unreasonable night shift structure and poor health status.2.The pain management knowledge and attitude of nurses is closely related to the level of empathy. The higher the level of nurses’ empathy, the stronger the pain management knowledge and attitude of nurses.Improving the level of empathy is an important way to improve the pain management knowledge and attitude of nurses and relieve the pain of patients’.3.Initial degree, highest degree, night shift number, title, empathy are the main influence factors of clinical nurses pain management knowledge and attitude, prompt manager should be aimed at education, optimize the scheduling system, aim at the empathy education training actively,in order to improve the ability of clinical nurses, moderate the relationship between nurses and patients, alleviate patients’ pain, improve the level of hospital care and promote the patients life and health. |
