Objective: The purpose of this study is to conduct a randomized controlled study on the clinical efficacy of Qufeng Zhixuan decoction in the treatment of vestibular migraine(wind and phlegm obstruction syndrome),so as to clarify the therapeutic effect and indications of this decoction. Methods: In this study,72 patients with vestibular migraine(wind and phlegm obstruction syndrome)in the outpatient department were randomly divided into treatment group and control group by the method of randomized control. The treatment group was given Qufeng Zhixuan Decoction, which was taken separately in the morning and evening. The control group was given flunarizine hydrochloride capsules(Ao Li Bao Ke,Heilongjiang Aolidaned Pharmaceutical Co.Ltd.),10 mg orally once a night. The treatment course was 4weeks and the follow-up period was 3 months. After the course of treatment, comparison analysis of clinical efficacy was conducted to compare before and after treatment in patients with vertigo(wind and phlegm obstruction syndrome)of TCM syndrome integral,SF-36 questionnaire integral,Dizziness Handicap Inventory(DHI)integral, and changes in frequency and duration of vertigo attacks, then calculate the significant percentage. At the same time, the frequency and duration of vertigo episodes 3 months after the end of treatment were followed up to evaluate the patients’ recurrence.SPSS22.0 software was used for statistical analysis of the obtained data, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant when P<0.05.Results: After 4 weeks of treatment,67 cases of patients under clinical observation were completed(2 cases fall off in the treatment group and 3 cases fall off in the control group). The clinical observation data of the 67 cases were statistically analyzed, and the results were obtained as follows:1.The total effective rate of the treatment group was 88.2%,while the control group was72.7%,obviously,the treatment group was better than the control group, the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).Respectively to compare the treatment group and control group after treatment of vertigo(wind and phlegm obstruction syndrome)of TCM syndrome integral,SF-36 questionnaire integral,Dizziness Handicap Inventoryintegral, the frequency and duration of vertigo episodes were improved, the difference between the two groups after treatment and before treatment was statistically significant(P < 0.05),two groups of patients with drug curative effect is superior to the former, their clinical efficacy affirmation.Comparison of the scores of TCM syndrome integral,SF-36 questionnaire integral,Dizziness Handicap Inventory integral, the frequency and duration of vertigo episodes after treatment, the difference was statistical significance(P<0.05),indicating that the efficacy of the treatment group was better than that of the control group.2.Comparison of the frequency and duration of vertigo episodes between the two groups after 3 months of follow-up showed that the treatment group was better than the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),indicating that the treatment group could more effectively reduce the recurrence of vertigo.Conclusion:1.Qufeng Zhixuan decoction has definite efficacy in the treatment of vestibular migraine(wind and phlegm obstruction syndrome),which can significantly improve the TCM syndrome integral,Dizziness Handicap Inventory integral and SF-36 questionnaire integral of patients, and the efficacy is better than that of the control group.2.This decoction can reduce the frequency and duration of vertigo attacks in patients, and effectively control the recurrence of vestibular migraine, which indicates that Qufeng Zhixuan decoction has a long-term effect in the treatment of vestibular migraine(wind and phlegm obstruction syndrome),and because of the treatment of traditional Chinese medicine from the concept of viewing the situation as a whole,it can also improve the patients’ secondary syndrome such as poor appetite and digestion, loose stools and so on.
