Objective: To understand the status quo of community nurses’ attitude towards the elderly and cognition of aging knowledge in Changchun City,and analyze its’ influencing factors,it provides a valuable reference for the later development of training programs and talent construction planning of community nurses,so as to improve the quality of nursing service in the community and the satisfaction of the elderly to community nurses.Methods: A total of 221 nurses who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria were selected from 24 community health service centers in Changchun by random cluster sampling method.The research was carried out in the form of questionnaire survey,including the general information of the subjects,the scale of attitude towards the elderly,and the scale of knowledge of aging.The data were all summarized by Excel 2010 and imported into SPSS19.0 for statistical analysis,mainly uses independent sample t test,multiple linear regression analysis and other statistical methods.Results:1 The total score of community nurses’ attitude towards the elderly was(126.65±6.78).The aging knowledge cognition score of community nurses was(11.72±1.84).2 The results of one-way analysis of variance show that,in terms of community nurses’ attitude towards the elderly,there were statistically significant differences in education,form of employment,monthly salary,professional title,good relations with the elderly in daily life,family attitude toward the elderly,understanding of "life education",learning related knowledge for the elderly,the learning of humanistic courses,the experience of volunteer work for the elderly and the liking of nursing for the elderly(P<0.05).In terms of education,professional title,monthly salary,years of working in community nursing,the communication of elderly relatives,attention to elderly problems,understanding of "life education",the situation of elder care training,learning related knowledge for the elderly,the learning of humanistic courses,there were statistically significant differences in the cognition scores of aging knowledge of community nurses,there were statistically significant differences in the aging knowledge cognition scores of community nurses(P<0.05).3 Pearson correlation analysis showed that there was a significant positive correlation between community nurses’ attitude towards the elderly and their cognition of aging knowledge(r=0.364,P<0.05).4 Multiple linear stepwise regression analysis showed that five variables,including the final educational background,good relations with the elderly in daily life,monthly salary,the score of aging knowledge cognition and the experience of volunteer work for the elderly were included into the regression model of attitude towards the elderly(F=29.380,P<0.05).Eight variables,including the learning of humanistic courses,understanding of "life education",the final educational background,the first educational background,the situation of elder care training,attention to elderly problems,learning related knowledge for the elderly,the score of attitude towards the elderly,and entered the regression model of aging knowledge cognition(F=54.187,P<0.05).Conclusion:1 The general level of community nurses’ attitude towards the elderly and cognition of aging knowledge was not high.2 The influencing factors of community nurses’ attitude towards the elderly in Changchun are sorted in order of importance: the final educational background,good relations with the elderly in daily life,monthly salary,the score of aging knowledge cognition and the experience of volunteer work for the elderly.3 The influencing factors of aging knowledge cognition of community nurses in Changchun are sorted in order of importance,which are the learning of humanistic courses,understanding of "life education",the final educational background,the first educational background,the situation of elder care training,attention to elderly problems,learning related knowledge for the elderly and the score of attitude towards the elderly.4 There was a positive correlation between community nurses’ attitude towards the elderly and their cognition of aging knowledge.5 To improve community nurses’ attitude towards the elderly and cognition level of aging knowledge,it is suggested to carry out targeted training in various forms,improve the education level of community nurses,provide more interactive experience activities between nurses and the elderly,improve their salary,optimize their working environment,and then improve the quality of community nursing service. |
