Objective:To observe the differences in serum zinc levels and the number of T lymphocyte subsets in patients with recurrent aphthous ulcer(RAU)and their clinical significance in RAU patients. Methods:A total of 115 RAU patients who were treated in the Department of Stomatology,People’s Hospital of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region from January 2016 to May 2020 were collected as the observation group, and 60 people who came to the hospital for oral examination and normal oral mucosa were selected as the control group during the same period. The colorimetric method was used to detect the serum zinc levels of the two groups, and the flow cytometry was used to detect the number of CD3~+,CD4~+,CD8~+T cells and the CD4~+/CD8~+ratio.The t test was used to compare the differences between the two groups of indicators. The variance expansion coefficient diagnosis method excluded the indicators with collinearity. Finally, the Logistic regression model analyzed the risk degree of each indicator in RAU patients. Results:Serum zinc levels,CD3~+,CD4~+,and CD8~+T cell numbers in the observation group were lower than those in the normal oral mucosa group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After excluding CD3~+T cells with collinearity indicators, logistic regression model analysis found that age, serum zinc, and CD4~+T cells in RAU patients were the risk factors for the development(P<0.05).Conclusion:The occurrence and development of RAU is closely related to the decrease in serum zinc level and the decrease in the number of CD4~+T cells.
