Research On External Therapy Of Cough In Traditional Chinese Medicine Prior And During Qing Dynasty And Analysis Of The Tutor’s Thoughts On The Treatment Of Cough

Objective:By collecting and sorting out the literature on TCM external treatment of cough before and during qing Dynasty,this paper analyzes the rules of acupoint selection and drug use,and combines the clinical experience of my tutor to provide reference for clinical research.Method:Taking the Chinese medical code as the source of retrieval,retrieves the literature sorting,establish the database and analysis.Then analyzing the thoughts of treating cough based on the tutor’s clinical experience in treating cough.Results:This research refers to 201 medical books,2826 articles,19 kinds of external treatment methods,1962 prescriptions for acupoints,862 prescriptions for external treatment of drugs and 57 prescriptions for manipulation method.Among them,there are146 acupoints,of which are mainly Bladder meridian of foot taiyang and Lung meridian of hand taiyin.Most of them are in the chest and abdomen.The specific acupoints are mainly Five-shu point acupoints.The high-frequency acupoints are Feishu(BL 13),Tiantu(RN22),Danzhong(RN 17),Lieque(LU 7),Taiyuan(LU 9).The commonly used compatibility is Feishu(BL 13)→ Tiantu(RN 22),Tiantu(RN 22)+ Feishu(BL 13)→ Danzhong(RN 17).There are 341 external drugs,including phlegm resolving,cough relieving and asthma relieving drugs,tonic drugs,etc.The medicine is mild,but the taste is bitter.The commonly used drugs are Semen Armeniacae Amarum,Flos farfarae,Bulbus Fritillariae Cirrhosae,Radix Glycyrrhizae,Realgar.And most of the compatibility were Semen Armeniacae Amarum→Bulbus Fritillariae Cirrhosae,Bulbus Fritillariae Cirrhosae+Semen Armeniacae Amarum→Radix Glycyrrhizae.Conclusion:There were many external therapies of traditional Chinese medicine for cough before the Qing Dynasty.The usage of Acupoint and medication were standard and effective,which provides new ideas for modern clinical and scientific research.
