Objective: To explore the effect of Taijiquan combined with compound α-keto acid on nutrition-related indexes in maintenance hemodialysis(MHD)patients. Methods:From January 2016 to December 2017,42 patients with MHD,31 males and 11 females were selected in the blood purification center of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University.Randomly divided into three groups: control group(n = 14),α-keto acid group(n = 12)and Taijiquan exercise group(n = 16).All patients signed the informed consent and successfully completed the study. The control group regularly carries out nutrition and health education. The α-keto acid group is a low-protein diet combined with compound α-keto acid. The Taijiquan exercise group adds Taijiquan exercise therapy on the basis of the α-keto acid group.Basic information is collected before intervention Follow-up was conducted at 0 weeks,20 weeks, and 40 weeks.Compare the differences in body composition and biochemical indexes of the three groups at different time points. Results: There was no significant difference in general information between the groups(P>0.05).Compared with each group at 0 weeks: human cell mass(BCM),adipose tissue mass(ATM),adipose tissue index(FTI),total lipid mass(FAT),muscle tissue mass(LTM),muscle tissue index(LTI),There were no significant differences in body mass index(BMI)and grip strength(P> 0.05).At 20 weeks: the grip strength of the Taijiquan exercise group was higher than the other two groups, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).At 40 weeks: the grip strength and LTI of the Taijiquan exercise group were higher than those of the other two groups, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Compared with each group at 0 weeks: hemoglobin(HGB),blood urea nitrogen(BUN),serum creatinine(Scr),serum albumin(ALB),pre-albumin(PA),calcium(Ca),phosphorus(P),There was no statistically significant difference in parathyroid hormone(PTH),insulin-like growth factor-1(IGF-1),insulin-like growth factor binding protein 3(IGFBP3),and IGF-1 / IGFBP3(P>0.05).Carbon dioxide binding power(CO2-CP)There was statistical significance between the groups(P<0.05).There were no significant differences in biochemical indicators between the 20 and 40 weeks of each group.Comparison within the Taijiquan exercise group: grip strength,HGB,ALB,PA,and IGF-1at 40 weeks were higher than those at 0 and 20 weeks, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion: Taijiquan combined with compound α-keto acid can help correct calcium and phosphorus metabolism disorders, improve muscle strength, and prevent skeletal muscle atrophy in patients with MHD.It can be used as a non-pharmacological intervention to improve malnutrition in patients with MHD.At the same time,Taijiquan can increase IGF-1 / IGFBP3,but long-term large-scale research is still needed.
