Practical Research On Social Work To Change Communication Stances Of Family Members Of Hospitalized Psychopaths

Psychiatric illnesses have become the third largest illness in the world after heart disease and cancer,affecting thousands of families.It not only brings pain to psychopaths themselves,but also impacts on the whole family of psychopaths.In this process,the communication between families and psychopaths is very important.In the hospital,the medical staff usually only pay attention to the psychopaths themselves,only provide services to the psychopaths themselves,and rarely provide services to their families.Social work advocates that "people are in the situation",and people under the concept of social work are not completely independent individuals.To research a person,it must be carried out in the environment in which he / she lives,that is,family,school,work environment,etc.,so social work is not limited to the psychopaths himself / herself,but also to the stakeholders of the psychopaths,the most closely related stakeholders of psychopaths are their families.Under the guidance of the professional concept and methods of social work,this paper takes the family members of psychopaths in the open ward area of Rehabilitation Department of Y hospital as the research objects,collects data by means of questionnaire,interview,observation,etc.,understands the status of communication stances of research objects and analyzes the reasons,and applies the relevant theories and technologies of Satir model to group work,case work and other direct service methods,make the service objects aware of the impact of their communication stances on the psychopaths and the relationship with the whole family system,improve the service objects’ sense of self-worth,change their irrational cognition,help them master the communication skills,make them close to the consistent communication stances,improve the relationship between the service objects and the psychopaths,and promote the recovery of the psychopaths.According to the family system theory and Satir model,the practice research is mainly based on group work,supplemented by case work.Based on group work,the family member L who tends to use inconsistent communication stance,has outstanding problems in communication with psychopaths and is willing to receive case service is selected as the case service object from the group members.The case tracking service is carried out to strengthen depth of the group work.The research found that communication stance has an impact on both the hospitalized psychopaths and the family members.The family members of hospitalized psychopaths tend to use inconsistent communication stances.Social work is effective in changing the communication stances of the family members of hospitalized psychopaths.
