The Clinical Research Of Fire-needle Combined With Blood-letting Therapy For Periarthritis Of Shoulder Of Cold Dampness Type

ObjectiveIn this study,a small sample of randomized controlled experiment was used to observe the clinical effect of Fire-needle combined with blood-letting therapy and simple Fire-needle therapy in the treatment of periarthritis of shoulder of cold dampness type,and to make an objective evaluation,so as to provide a basis for seeking a better treatment plan for periarthritis of shoulder of cold dampness type.Methods80 patients with periarthritis of shoulder of cold dampness type were enrolled in the outpatient department of Acupuncture and Moxibustion(Rehabilitation)Department of Guangdong No.2 TCM Hospital(the Fifth Clinical College of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine)from May 2019 to January 2020.The patients were randomly divided into treatment group and control group with 40 cases in each group.The treatment group was treated with Fire-needle combined with blood-letting therapy,while the control one was treated with simple Fire-needle therapy.Visual Analogue Scale(VAS),Constant-Murley shoulder function score(CMS)and TCM syndrome scale were used as evaluation indexes to observe and compare the therapeutic effect of the two groups.Results1.There were no significant difference in sex composition,age distribution,Course distribution,VAS scores,CMS and TCM syndrome scores between the treatment group and the control one before treatment(P>0.05),which were comparable.2.The VAS scores of the treatment group and the control one were significantly different after treatment(P<0.01).It indicated that both Fire-needle combined with blood-letting therapy and simple Fire-needle therapy could relieve pain of patients with periarthritis of shoulder of cold dampness type.3.The CMS of the treatment group and the control one were significantly different after treatment(P<0.01).It indicated that both Fire-needle combined with blood-letting therapy and simple Fire-needle therapy could improve shoulder founction of patients with periarthritis of shoulder of cold dampness type.4.The TCM symptom scores of the treatment group and the control one were significantly different after treatment(P<0.01).It indicated that both Fire-needle combined with blood-letting therapy and simple Fire-needle therapy could alleviate the accompanying symptoms of patients with periarthritis of shoulder of cold dampness type.5.Overall therapeutic effect:in the treatment group,2 cases were cured,19 cases were markedly effective,17 cases were effective and 2 cases were ineffective,the total effective rate was 95.00%;while in the control group,1 case was cured,12 cases were markedly effective,20 cases were effective and 7 cases were ineffective,the total effective rate was 82.50%.It was significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05).After treatment,the differences of VAS scores,CMS and TCM syndrome scores of the treatment group were significantly different from the control group’s(P<0.05).It indicated that Fire-needle combined with blood-letting therapy had more obvious therapeutic effect than simple Fire-needle therapy on relieving pain,improving shoulder founction and alleviating accompanying symptoms.ConclusionBoth Fire-needle combined with blood-letting therapy and simple Fire-needle therapy had definite therapeutic effect on periarthritis of shoulder of cold dampness type.Fire-needle combined with blood-letting therapy had more obvious therapeutic effect on relieving pain and improving shoulder founction and alleviating accompanying symptoms.It could be popularized as one of the treatments for periarthritis of shoulder of cold dampness type.
