Objective To analyze the surveillance results of foodborne diseases in Longjing City from 2015 to 2019 and understand the epidemiological characteristics of foodborne diseases in this city to provide a scientific basis for the prevention and control of foodborne diseases. Methods The surveillance data of foodborne diseases in Longjing City,Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture from 2015 to 2019 were exported from the foodborne disease surveillance and reporting system of Jilin Province, and 821 diarrhea patients who met the case definition of foodborne diseases were studied to collect basic information, disease information, and suspected food exposure information, collect stool samples from cases and perform laboratory tests. The onset time, location, population distribution, history of suspected food exposure, eating place and detection of pathogenic bacteria of foodborne diseases were analyzed and compared with the information of foodborne diseases in Jilin Province.Results1.A total of 821 reported cases of foodborne diseases were collected from 2015 to 2019,with an overall incidence rate of 0.10%,which was significantly different between years(P<0.05),and increased(Ptrend<0.05),which was the same as the incidence trend in Jilin Province.2.There was no statistical difference in foodborne disease cases between males and females in Longjing City(P>0.05),and there was statistical difference in the gender distribution between males and females in all age groups(P<0.05);the age was concentrated in ≥ 60 years and 1 to 5 years, with a detection rate of 43.61%and 26.67%,respectively,accounting for more than 70%of the total cases;while there were more males than females in Jilin Province, and the age group distribution was the same.3.The peak segment of foodborne diseases in Longjing City was from May to October, and its onset time was concentrated by circular distribution test, with a trend of onset time concentrated near May 20,with a standard deviation of 102 days;by quarterly analysis, the second quarter had the most cases, accounting for 34.35%,followed by the third quarter 26.07%,accounting for more than 60%of the whole year.4.The suspected eating sites of foodborne diseases in Longjing City were mainly families, accounting for 95.25%;the suspected food exposures were mainly fruits, meat and milk, accounting for 59.44%in total;the occupational distribution was 29.60%for children,16.98%for housework and unemployed, and 16.08%for farmers, accounting for 62.66%in total.5.Suspected stool sample characteristics in Longjing City, mainly watery stools and mucous stools, accounted for 70%,mainly infectious cases.6.A total of 32 foodborne pathogens were detected in Longjing City, with a detection rate of 3.90%,all of which were Salmonella, with no significant difference between years(P>0.05).7.There was no difference in male and female cases of foodborne pathogens in Longjing City(P>0.05);the detection rate was highest in 1 to 5 years old, followed by≥60 years old, with detection rates of 59.38%and 21.88%,respectively,and there was a significant difference between different ages(P<0.05).8.The detection rate of Salmonella in Longjing City was 3.90%,which was higher than the detection rate of 3.38%in Jilin Province;the peak detection was from June to August, with the highest detection rate of 7.94%in the third quarter, followed by 4.26%in the second quarter, and the difference between quarters was statistically significant(P<0.05);it was the same as the epidemic characteristics with the highest detection rate in the second and third quarters in Jilin Province.9.The food-borne pathogens in Longjing City were mainly Salmonella, and other pathogens were not detected. The typing was mainly Salmonella typhimurium and Salmonella enteritidis, with a detection rate of 46.88%and 37.50%,which had regional characteristics.Conclusion1.The incidence of foodborne diseases in Longjing City increased year by year from 2015 to 2019,with a significant difference between years, which was consistent with the epidemic characteristics of foodborne diseases in Jilin Province.2.The food-borne pathogens circulating in Longjing City were Salmonella, mainly typed as Salmonella typhimurium and Salmonella enteritidis;while the main food-borne pathogens circulating in Jilin Province were norovirus and Salmonella, norovirus detection items should be added in Longjing City.3.The foodborne disease population in Longjing City is ≥ 60 years old and 1 to 5 years old;the suspected eating place is mainly family;the suspected food exposure history is mainly fruit, meat and milk;the occupational distribution is mainly children, housework and unemployed;the peak incidence is concentrated in May to October, and the onset time is concentrated in the trend around May 20,with a standard deviation of 102 days.4.The cases of foodborne pathogens in Longjing City, concentrated in 1 to 5 years of age and≥ 60 years of age,and there was a significant difference between different ages, which was consistent with the epidemic characteristics of foodborne diseases in Jilin Province.5.The peak detection of Salmonella in Longjing City was from June to August, with obvious seasonality, and the difference between quarters was statistically significant, which was consistent with the epidemic characteristics of Salmonella in Jilin Province, but inconsistent with the distribution of other pathogens.
