Objective:To explore the status of social support,self-perceived burden and post-traumatic stress disorder in fracture patients. To investigate the effects of general demographic on social support,self-perceived burden and post-traumatic stress disorder in fracture patients. To explore the correlation between social support,self-perceived burden and post-traumatic stress disorder in fracture patients. In order to reduce the psychological disorder and improve the quality of life of patients with traumatic fractures to create intervention strategies and provide theoretical basis. Methods:This study is a correlation study and non-experimental study.A total of 260 patients with fractures in a grade-3A hospital in Jilin province and a grade-3A hospital in Liaoning province were studied by convenient sampling. The general demographic questionnaire, the Social Support Rating Scale, the Chinese version of the Self-Perceived Burden Scale and the Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Checklist-Civilian Version were used to evaluate.Mean, standard deviation, frequency, percentage and other indicators were used to describe the general demographic characteristics, social support,self-perceived burden and post-traumatic stress disorder of fracture patients. The data were analyzed by t-test,one-way ANOVA,Pearson correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis.Results:(1)In this study, the average score of social support was 34.16±5.43 points.One-way ANOVA showed that there are statistically significant differences in age, education level and per capita monthly income in the social support level of fracture patients(P<0.05).(2)In this study, the average score of self-perceived burden was 31.10±5.12 points.One-way ANOVA showed that there are statistically significant differences in gender, per capita monthly income, payment method, fracture site, fracture degree, health status of primary caregivers and BI index in the self-perceived burden level of fracture patients(P<0.05).(3)In this study, the average score of post-traumatic stress disorder was 36.06±4.42 points.One-way ANOVA showed that there are statistically significant differences in gender, age, education level, fracture cause, fracture site, fracture degree and BI index in the post-traumatic stress disorder level of fracture patients(P<0.05).(4)Pearson correlation analysis showed that the social support in fracture patients was negatively correlated with self-perceived burden and post-traumatic stress disorder(r=-0.638,P<0.05;r=-0.658,P<0.05),self-perceived burden was positively correlated with post-traumatic stress disorder(r=0.593,P<0.05).(5)The multiple regression analysis showed that gender, fracture degree,BI index,self-perceived burden and social support were the main factors of post-traumatic stress disorder, and explained the variability of 53.7%.Conclusions:(1)In this study, the social support of fracture patients was at the medium level. The younger, the higher education level, the higher per capita monthly income, the higher social support.(2)In this study, the self-perceived burden of fracture patients was at the mild to moderate level.Female, the lower per capita monthly income, self expense, spine fracture, more fracture sites, the worse main caregiver’s health, the lower BI index, the higher self perceived burden.(3)In this study, the positive rate of post-traumatic stress disorder in fracture patients was 35.8%.Female,the older, the lower education level, fractures due to traffic accidents or violent injuries, spinal fractures, more fracture sites, the lower BI index, the higher post-traumatic stress disorder.(4)There is a certain correlation among social support,self-perceived burden and post-traumatic stress disorder in fracture patients. The level of social support affects the level of self-perceived burden and post-traumatic stress disorder in patients. In other words, the higher social support, the lower self-perceived burden and post-traumatic stress disorder.(5)Gender,fracture degree,BI index,self-perceived burden and social support were the main factors of post-traumatic stress disorder. It is suggested that clinical nursing should pay attention to the mental and psychological characteristics of patients, taken effective measures to improve social support of patients with traumatic fractures, reduce the level of self-perceived burden, improve the quality of life and promote the rehabilitation of patients.
