Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy and safety of warming the kidney, invigorating the spleen and tranquilizing the mind in the treatment of IBS-D syndrome of spleen and kidney yang deficiency, and to provide clinical reference for the differentiation and treatment of this disease by traditional Chinese medicine. Methods: The 60 included patients with IBS-D were randomly divided into treatment group(30 cases)and control group(30 cases). The treatment group was treated with traditional Chinese medicine wenshenjianpianshen prescription, while the control group was treated with trimebutin maleate tablet and bifidobacterium triple live bacteria capsule. The course of treatment was 4 weeks, followed up 3 months after the end of the course.By comparing TCM syndrome scores,IBS-SSS scores,HAD scores, safety indicators and follow-up recurrence before and after treatment of patients in the two groups, the clinical efficacy and safety of the treatment of IBS-D by warming the kidney, strengthening the spleen and calming nerves were evaluated. Results: After treatment, the total scores of TCM syndromes,IBS-SSS and HAD in the two groups were significantly improved compared with those before treatment(P﹤0.01),and the improvement of TCM syndromes,TCM syndromes,IBS-SSS and HAD in the treatment group was significantly better than that inthe control group(P﹤0.01 or P﹤0.05).In terms of single TCM symptom score, the scores of each single TCM symptom in the treatment group were significantly improved compared with those before treatment(P﹤0.01),while those in the control group were also significantly improved in terms of diarrhea, abdominal pain and indifference to diet(P﹤0.01),but in terms of lumbar and knee weakness and cold limb symptoms, there was no improvement compared with those before treatment(P﹥0.05).Neither group had obvious adverse reactions in the clinical study, and there was no statistically significant difference in the relevant safety indexes before and after treatment(P ﹥ 0.05).The follow-up results showed that the treatment group was superior to the control group in controlling recurrence rate(P﹤0.05).Conclusion: Warming the kidney, invigorating the spleen and tranquilizing the mind is effective in treating IBS-D syndrome of spleen and kidney yang deficiency. It can significantly alleviate the clinical symptoms, alleviate the severity of the disease, improve the mental state of anxiety and depression, and is safe and reliable, with low recurrence rate.It is worthy of further clinical study.
