Objective Using Regional Homogeneity to explore the abnormal spontaneous brain activity patterns of MCI patients and to observe the clinical effect and brain functionmechanism of Reinhardt and Sea Cucumber Capsule on Mild Cognitive ImpairmentMethods15 patients with MCI and 15 healthy subjects went through the baseline imaging data using resting-state functional magnetic resonance(rs-f MRI).A Mini Mental State Examination(MMSE),Montreal Cognitive Assessment scale(Mo CA),Alzheimer’s Disease Assessment Scale-Cognitive section(ADAS-Cog),Instrumental Activities of Daily Living Scale(IADL)were performed for MCI patients.And after the treatment ofreinhardt and sea cucumber capsule,MMSE,Mo CA,ADAS-Cog,IADL and TESS were evaluated again at the end of 6 months for all the MCI patients,as well as the scanning of rs-f MRI.The Regional Homogeneity(Re Ho)analysis of f MRI was used between healthy control group and MCI group,and the correlation analysis was performed with neuropsychological assessment score.The comparison of neuropsychological assessment scores before and after treatment of MCI group was conducted,as well as the correlation of Re Ho of f MRI and neuropsychological assessment scores.Results1.At the baseline,MCI patients showed increased Re Ho in the right insular lobe,and decreased Re Ho in the left precuneus and rightpostcentral gyrus compared with healthy control.2.In MCI patients,MMSE score(R = 0.705,P = 0.011)and Mo CA scores(R = 0.782,P= 0.003)were positively correlated with the standard Re Ho value of left precuneus,and Mo CA scores were positively correlated with standardized Re Ho values of left precuneus(R= 0.586,P = 0.045).3.The MMSE score of MCI patients(P=0.001)and Mo CA score(P=0.005)were significantly improved after the treatment of reinhardt and sea cucumber capsule.4.At the end of 6 month,MCI patients had a increased Re Ho value than baseline in the left precuneus,and was positively correlated with Δ-value of Mo CA.Conclusion1.MCI is a compensated and decompensated disease stage.2.The spontaneous activity of precuneus and postcentral gyrus may be the Imaging markers for MCI.3.After the treatment of reinhardt and sea cucumber capsule,MCI patients had a positive effect on overall cognition and was implemented by improving the spontaneous activity of the precuneus.
