Objective: To compare the clinical efficacy of polyglycol sclerotherapy and stapler hemorrhoidectomy(PPH)in the treatment of grade II and III internal hemorrhoids, and analyze their advantages and disadvantages. Methods: A total of 100 patients with grade II and III internal hemorrhoids hospitalized in department of Gastroenterology and Department of colorectal and anal Surgery of Enshi Central Hospital from January 2020 to June 2020 were randomly selected as the research objects.According to different surgical methods, they were divided into sclerosis group and PPH group.PPH group was treated with PPH(stapler superior hemorrhoid mucosal loop resection),50 patients in each group,Comparative analysis of two groups of patients in general(hospitalization days, intraoperative blood loss, operating time and cost of treatment),postoperative complications, the total incidence of complications(including obvious pain, anal fall bilge feeling, postoperative infection, postoperative urinary retention),postoperative day 1,3 days postoperatively VAS pain score and 6months after symptom remission, relapse, differences in patient satisfaction. Results:There were no significant differences in gender composition, internal hemorrhoids and age between the sclerosis group and PPH group(P>0.05);Compared with the PPH group, the sclerosing group had less hospitalization days, treatment costs, operation time and intraoperative blood loss, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05);The total incidence of complications in the sclerosing group was lower than that in the PPH group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);There was no significant difference in symptom relief between the sclerosis group and the PPH group(P>0.05);There was no significant difference in patient satisfaction between the sclerotic group and the PPH group 6 months after surgery(P>0.05);The postoperative recurrence rate was 6% in the sclerosis group and 10% in the PPH group, but there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05);The pain score of the sclerosis group was lower than that of the PPH group on the first and third postoperative days, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion: The postoperative pain of polylauryl alcohol sclerotherapy group was milder than that of PPH group,so the postoperative experience of sclerotherapy patients was better; The recurrence rate, symptom relief and patient satisfaction of the two treatment methods in 6 months after operation had good results, and the difference was not statistically significant;Compared with PPH,lauryl alcohol sclerotherapy can shorten the length of hospital stay, reduce treatment costs, reduce postoperative pain, and reduce the incidence of complications, intraoperative bleeding and operation time. Therefore, for patients with grade II and III internal hemorrhoids, lauryl alcohol sclerotherapy can be used as a clinically recommended treatment.
